We stayed here in a campervan. The food was excellent! the staff were very friendly and attentive, the chef is passionate about his food right to the finer details with quality ingredients and all at a very reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend this place. I’m not really a ‘burger’ person but the burgers here are homemade and fantastic 👍

I loved the old pub and it's feel. Sadly it's lost a bit of it's charm. However, the food is amazing. I ordered sausage and mash with 'valley' gravy. I highly recommend chef Ryan's gravy. Ordered two pots it was so delicious, as was the entire meal. We live far away but "we'll definitely be back."

Had a lovely dinner here with my husband, just dropped in during our holiday in The Gower. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we walked through the door, very friendly staff and exceptional service. My husband had the steak and ale pie, I had the veggie mezze, reasonably priced and delicious. We really enjoyed our meals and would heartily recommend The Valley.

My visually impaired friend was denied access to the restaurant area because she was accompanied by her guide dog. She became quite distressed and tried to explain her dog was allowed to accompany her everywhere, including into hospitals. We left before the upset escalated and I suggested the bar staff needed to be more aware of the law in this area as guide dogs are permitted by statute into all public areas.UPDATEI have shared your reply with my friend. Firstly we would like to thank you for your prompt response and for taking immediate responsibility for what occurred. That is really appreciated as are your actions to prevent this happening again. Perhaps understandably she is reluctant to return but appreciated your offer.I have amended the rating and comments accordingly.
