We were there with 4 Dutch men for a 4x4 week and it was great! Old building so real British atmosphere. The food was fantastic! Next time again!!

Popped in on our way through as it's such a pretty town. Couldn't fault it. Decor was lovely both inside and out. Staff were friendly and efficient. The food was very good quality and highly recommended. We hope to come and stay in the accommodation soon.

We went for dinner and had to wait an hour and 40 minutes for our food to arrive and then it took over 20 minutes for all the different items to come out! Half-term Monday night, so maybe they were surprised at how busy they were. Our waitress looked to be on her own and was running around all night, as we were not alone - I heard at least one other person complain they also waited 2 hours. But what disappointed me the most was the manager. At the end of the evening, he was still hiding out in the kitchen - he hadn't come out all night to manage anyone's expectations. When I complained, someone should have just let us know what was happening rather than keep telling us we were next, leaving us sat for so long. His response was pretty awful. First, he threw his hard-working waitress under the bus, saying she should have said something. And then, when I pushed back, he actually tried to tell me that "it's written on the menu that it might take some time because it's cooked fresh" Almost 2 hours wait is not justifiable for gross burgers heated up (no way were those created locally) and sending out a chicken caesar salad without the chicken. That manager needs some management schooling or someone to explain that he's supposed to take responsibility and manage customer expectations - not at the expense of his staff or lame excuses. Sending out two servings of chips we didn't need with our meal to "make up for it" doesn't cut it. Maybe if he'd sent those out an hour into our wait - we had two children who were starving and didn't get the food we ordered at 7.30pm until after 9pm.

Took 30 minutes to have our food order taken, then waited over an hour for a basic meal of a burger, ended up leaving before it arrived as we got so bored of waiting. No updates from the waiting staff of when the food would arrive. Overpriced for what it is

Everyone was kind and clearly trying their best on the floor. 2 stars is for waiting over an hour for a burger that never came on a pretty ordinary Monday night.As someone who worked in restaurants for years, it’s obvious there wasn’t a manager there on the night.

Such a lovely traditional pub with great service, awesome food and simple but comfortable rooms. Me and my dad were on a motorcycle trip and they were kind enough to let us leave our van in their car park for a couple days after we checked out. Its the little things that make the difference. Highly recommend

Nice little pub in the middle of town. Parking out the back. The food is good. The beer wasn't cold enough for us. Plenty of choice. Cooked breakfast is delicious, and there is plenty of choice. Even a pot of tea.

The Kings HeadThe Kings Head is located in a small, picturesque town, surrounded by a few but charming localities. The pub itself is set in a cozy, rural setting and offers a typical British pub style with a rustic atmosphere. It is a popular spot for locals and tourists looking for a simple meal and a good drink in a relaxed atmosphere.We decided to order two burgers on the first night. The menu offers a solid selection of pub classics including burgers, fish dishes and various meat options. We chose the burgers because they were the most appealing at first glance. The burgers were fine – nothing exceptional, but solid and filling. It was a good fit for an uncomplicated meal, even if it wasn't a particular culinary surprise.The drinks, however, were very good. We enjoyed a local beer and a cider, both of which went well with the atmosphere. The overall ambience was very pleasant and it was fun to sit there and enjoy the rustic feel.All in all, it was a good choice for the first evening, although not a must if you're looking for a culinary highlight. If you're in the area, you can eat and drink well here, but it's not a place you need to visit if you're not already nearby.

Friendly and efficient staff; a welcome stopover. Very good value; great location with handy parking at the back. A nice busy pub but not rowdy. Popular with bikers (the well-behaved, retired sort). Clean and comfortable rooms; and the pub food was fine.

A lovely traditional old pub. The staff made you feel welcome and were very accommodating when we arrived 5 minutes before the kitchen closed and were happy to take our food order.The cod goujon baguette was really nice served with salad and a handful of chips.Will call in there again when visiting Llandovery.

Nice overnight stay here; simple but clean and comfortable rooms meant a great night's sleep. Nice bar area, with good local hand pulled ales as well as usual cider and lagers, plus a very nice Guinness pour for just £4. Food was fresh and good-sized portions, and the bar/hotel staff were really friendly. All told a very nice place to stay. Recommended.

A wonderful hotel, beautifully furnished so it's fun to sit in a pub in Wales, the service is extremely friendly and there is a large selection of crwn, ales and gin.There was fast WiFi in the guest room.The breakfast was English and was delicious every day.The dinner was always of excellent quality, we were here almost every day.
