Sadly the adjoining pub, The Pemberton, is no longer a Beefeater (the food was still fine, although the choice of drinks has slipped), apparently there are plans to convert the pub into more accommodation, I'm not sure why, I cannot imagine …

AVOID STAYING AT THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS OTHERWISE IS WILL BE AT “ALL COSTS”. We stayed at this hotel over last weekend and we tried to book a Meal Deal (Dinner and Breakfast the following morning) for £53.98 while we were there. Upon inserting our Credit Card into the hotel card reader to make payment The Receptionist told us that the transaction hadn’t taken place. We were asked to try again on 3 other occasions with this card and on a 4th occasion with a different card, all with the same result. When we got home, our bank records showed that all payments had been made, so we had paid total of nearly £270 for this “Meal Deal.” When I phoned Mark, the Duty Manager at the hotel he advised me to phone Premier Inn Customer Relations. When I asked him what he had done or was doing to sort things out at his end, because we witnessed other people having similar problems, he asked me what I expected him to do because the hotel’s electronic records showed no details of my payments!! So I am now left to sort this out on my own while the Duty Manager doesn’t seem to accept that he needs to do anything!!!

Nice hotel we were 40 minutes early driving from Liverpool wanted to charge a £10 early checking in fee so went for a coffee and waited. It’s a very warm hotel and being right next to the road, if the windows open the traffic can be noisy( thank god for the double window system) but to be honest I would stay again. It was bang in the middle of all the places we visited over a hour each direction

Nice clean hotel handy for a hospital trip up the road if you need to be down for a test / procedures, etc and need to drive down. The outside of the hotel doesn't look much it has been renovated inside. Power rain shower. Hdmi port provided lower down, no fumbling behind the TV for it. The free broadband just does. Good firm bed (orthopedic). Primark is walkabout and the other shops in the retail park if you are on driver duties for that hospital visit. Cut across Morrisons, head towards Mc Donald's and then head towards Tescos. You have arrived at the retail park. Google walking route doesn't take the direct route. The staff are very strict on not letting you check in before the 3pm arrival time since Premier Inn charges more for that pleasure. Downside of arriving a few minutes early.

Yeah, it's a bit dated, Rooms have physical keys. They do have air-conditioning its old but powerful, which is good. What was odd, breakfast I could only book for 7:15am. As the 7am was full. However my work colleague had reserved a table for two. Arriving at 7am there was us and two others for at least 20mins. When we left at almost 8am, there were no more than 8 people in a massive restaurant. Poor coordination between hotel and restaurant. I've never had that situation in all the Premier inns I have stayed at.

Would be a 5 Star but it wasn't stated when booking that it is no longer a Beefeater next door to the Hotel.Service on the other hand was great, Mark on reception was very helpful and friendly.
