My 70-something parents stayed at this Travelodge recently and had a very mixed experience. Despite staff being friendly and helpful and the rooms being clean, that is where the positives stop.Despite having a disabled blue badge, they still had to pay £5 a day to park. The room was adequate, but the bathroom was very difficult to manoeuvre in as it was tiny. It also became apparent that the hotel is used for emergency accommodation. This is not a problem in itself, but they were not informed at booking and only found out when they found printed info about the accommodation, helpful charity organisations and charities and so on, in their room. As older people, they felt a little nervous about who they were sharing the premises with. It would be beneficial to mention the hotels other uses during the booking process to give people choice.Not the worst hotel they have stayed in, but by far not the best.

I paid for wifi as there is next to no service on EE or o2. What a waste of money. Lucky to get 5mps download and 1mps upload. I went to speak with reception/hotel manageress who basically fobbed me off and said ring virgin and deal with them direct as they supply the wifi without even offering to help. Ordered from the restaurant, (sizzling chicken) which was anything but sizzling. I've eaten cardboard with more moisture in it 🤣. I also ordered a side of garlic flatbread which never came. So when I spoke with the same lady as mentioned above. I asked for a refund on the garlic bread..... her reply would you like me to get it cooked for you now. No I wouldn't hence why I asked for a refund on it. On the plus side the room was clean .STAY CLEAR

Iv stayed here alot over the last 4 months and I can not fault this Travelodge.The staff, management, reception,cleaners are amazing.So friendly and willing to help or just have a little chat.The Hotel itself is very clean and well maintained.The rooms are spot on,clean and spacious.But the main this about this Travelodge that will make it my choice to stay is definitely the staff,they are such a credit to Travelodge,they all made my stay by far the best hotel experience iv ever experienced.Thank you to such a wonderful team.

Still fairly new hotel, the area is just being built up and once it’s finally done will be good. Rooms are good and the bed is very comfy. ||Lots of extras but the were good value and still paying for these, the hotel was better value than other hotels in the area.

Poor experience - clean and friendly BUT whilst paying £175 without breakfast on a non match day (it's next to the football ground) for one night, they still require you to pay £3 for internet - so poor. The world gone mad - come on Travelodge, you can do better!

Rooms are what you'd expect, staff were friendly and helpful, location is a tough one, it depends on what you are doing, we didnt have a car and relied on the bus,and as it's quite far out of the centre a bit of a pain to get to, the only bus is a park and ride which does go past it, but the service stops at 7 and doesn't run on a Sunday, all in all pretty good.

I had high hopes for this hotel as it was a new hotel but was left massively dissappinted! Arrived around 9.30pm, myself and my 3 children with nowhere to park! Great start! Eventually just had to park in an undesignanted space, no allocated slots for parents and children at all, also some already limited spaces taken up by skips! On entering the building there was no smiley face to greet us, in fact all the staff we came across looked like they didn't want to be there. Then had to deal with the paying of the awful parking and was not straight forward at all, when entering location number stated at reception that was saying it was wrong! I asked the lady at reception for help to be told I would have to ring the company, does it look like I have time for all this when I just need to get my kids to bed! Room was very cramped, not what I was expecting, it was clean and the beds were comfy but it was very cold in there. Breakfast was okay, tables were left with peoples plates the whole time we were there and it wasn't busy we were the only ones there, there was multiple staff hanging around reception and bar area, had to go and ask for milk to be refilled and also there was a spillage on the floor which I asked one of the ladies to clean up, it was still there when we left! Accident waiting to happen. No signal in whole hotel so forced to pay or use the free 30 min WiFi which was not even worth it but perfect signal outside! Would not recommend this hotel and would never stay here again. Iv stayed in plenty of travelodges before and by far my worst experience. Have noticed management dont seem to botherd on the negative reviews either as no replies.
