Big mistake booking here. Weird set up. Linked to another nearby hotel. Overwhelming smell of damp, room had a smell of damp dog. Bathroom didn't look to have been cleaned from last occupant. Booked two nights. Left after one and booked elsewhere.

City is sad, pubs are empty on Saturdays. Rooms dated. WiFi cannot be found. Okay for this price and not too much to say about it

No reception at the hotel, you have to go to a different hotel across the crossroads. The place looks like a dorm and smells worse than one. And wifi didn't work for me.A reasonable price for a night would be £30.

Booked this hotel on a whim on the day for somewhere new to stay. When we got there we were greeted by a lovely woman. When we got to the room one room was locked which we should have had access to as it was rightfully paid for. We first went to access the hotel facilities the pool, sauna and hot tub. The hot tub was a green colour and the pools outside was dusty and full of dirt. In the changing rooms there was no privacy another user showed me the separate changing rooms but these had no lock on so simply had to change with the chance someone could enter. Another user commented on the lack of privacy also. We decided to dine out for dinner so cannot comment on the dinner options although they did sound very nice! The room we were given was spacious and had planned to have some snacks and a relaxing evening. The car park spaces are very limited and this should be kept in mind if you’re planning on leaving and coming back as it’s very difficult to manoeuvre in and out of. We got back and went to the kitchen where bowls and wine glasses were incredibly dirty they still had stuff in the bottom. not really what you expect at the price of a room. Although the bed was super comfortable and spacious it just lacked. The breakfest was varied however the waiter we found to be a little rude and we were uncomfortable heading to get food from the buffet as you had to go up to the waiter and chef where they both looked at you. It also stated on the menu that you could access drinks however when we went to get a drink the waiter said he would bring it to us. It did not feel like we could have multiple so left feeling thirsty. Overall the room was 3* as the second room could have been used by us if we had been given access for something that we paid for. The bed was comfy but not somewhere i would highly recommend

The reason for giving 3stars is because for an hotel with 4star you will not get what you expect. The room is very small, the light is very low level, the window is not opening so we couldn't have fresh air. The smell inside the room is awful. Is smell like some rodent died there. Over night you can here the pipe working from all rooms around. And the attitude of staff from restaurant was quite rude. Definitely I will not come back and recommend to anybody.

Clean and tidy, but don't expect something fancy. Those " four stars AA"........ The smell of mould was awful. Definitely not a location for families.

This was the biggest mistake we made one was the location which is certainly not suitable for any person belonging to an ethnic minority we was deliberately made to feel uncomfortable by the locals which I don’t blame the hotel for but now moving into the hotel it was of extreme port quality the carports were disgusting and in the bathroom sink only the hot tap worked and the water in that tap was near boiling and hard to use the taps were very cheap and water coming from the tap was too close to the sink basin, in my room the heating didn’t work it’s was room 51 in sleep well inn, my friends rooms all had faults one of which the heating wouldn’t turn off all night. The shower cubicle was extremely tight and I’m pretty slim person. This hotel is of poor quality and made me feel miserable and cold and u can hear the sounds of toilets flushing and pipe work from other rooms. This is not a place for people who are searching for quality..and the town and locals will not make people of ethnic minority feel welcome at all. We even met other white people from Newcastle even they were treated badly because they were from out of town. Andrew carruthers would not let us refund our second night as we had decided to leave so please consider carefully before choosing this place.
