Stop here. It's great.Room was perfect for us, while doing Hadrian's Wall. Spotless. Great water pressure. Sensational breakfast. Hosts were lovely. Very kind. They even dropped us off at the pub. And then picked us up! LEGENDS!Slightly more expensive than some options, but you know what, I would say it was worth it. There isn't many food options around, so either stock up and cook on site or pop to the Greenhead down there road. Soon to be a new pub in the village too.

Great 2 night stay .Fantastic set up in the Annex with all facilities for self catering and laundry and a great King size bed and decent size smart TV.Jackie is a great host and very responsive re emails (we are from Australia).A great choice of breakfast is available with hotels close by in driving distance for dinner.Hopefully the local pub around the corner will become operational again.We used this as a base for the beginning and end of our Hadrians Wall walk.Highly recommended.

The location here is very good. The location here is very good.Yes the management needs to improve their behavior a bit and the test in the food was not that kind but it was better and the cleaning was the hotel.

Steve and Jackie gave us the most wonderful stay in their loft.The room was amazing nothing was to much trouble .they looked after us ever so well.Would love to come back again.

Perfect. Thank you. We were 7 women on a c2c bike ride and we were warmly greeted. Jackie and Steven kindly took and collected us from a local restaurant (which was also excellent). An amazing breakfast all prepared individually. Thank you so much.

Fantastic accommodation. We stayed in the self contained annexe, which was great. Had everything you would need including cooking facilities and washer and dryer. Large bathroom, comfy bed, TV. Jackie, our host, very kindly drove us to the next village for dinner at a pub and picked us up! Fantastic service! And brekkie in the morning was delicious.

Read the other reviews. They are valid. It’s a very special place. The accommodation is spacious and warm. Everything looks new. There is a washer and dryer which are very useful when walking.Restaurants are a little distant on a Monday night. No issue. We were chauffeured there.Freshly cooked breakfast came on schedule on a tray. And it was very fine.It was a delight to stay here. We cannot thank Steve and Jackie enough.

Jackie & Stephen run a pristinely clean B&B that was an oasis after many days walking along Hadrians Wall. The gorgeous soaker tub after a rainy 12 miles was just what my weary body needed. They give you a courtesy ride into town for dinner and make you breakfast to order the next morning. You are greeted by their ever cool pup Noah, a darling eight year old labrador retriever, who will sweetly ask for behind the ear scratches. I'd give a million more stars to this property and its owners if I could. Book here today and stay more than one night.

Three of us stayed here on the Hadrian Wall's walk. Hollies is located directly on the walk and an ideal location for either direction. The Hollies is one large upper floor conversion with kitchen, breakfast bar and living space/bedroom. There is also a WC with shower. Jackie is a great host who organised a lift to a nearby pub (Blenkinsopp Castle) and laid on a fabulous breakfast and packed lunch. It's worth saying that The Bridge, a 2 minute walk down the hill, was a welcome sight at the end of the day's walking.

Jackie and her husband were amazing hosts. After two nights of camping, my friend and I were delighted with the opportunity to stay in the Annex and we were treated so well. Breakfast was delicious and brought to the room and our packed lunches hit the spot. I would highly recommend a stay here.

All the reviews have that common theme - Jackie and her husband are wonderful hosts. This was the best B&B of the 10 we stayed at during our hike of Hadrian's Wall. We got to spend two nights here and I'm so glad we did. We so appreciated being picked up at Housesteads Fort on the trail and returned the next day to Greenhead to continue our hike of Hadrian's Wall path. The hosts were so flexible as to the timing of meals/transport and everything was just perfect! What a delicious breakfast we had both days. The B&B is beautiful and has so many conveniences. The large bedroom and large bathroom were such a delight! Oh and did I mention that bathtub - oh my!Most of all we felt well taken care of with the assurance from Jackie's husband that if anything happened on the trail, we could be found and picked up! Fortunately, we did fine on this very challenging part of the trail and got to come back to a nice soak in the bathtub:)I highly recommend The Hollies on the Wall and if you can stay multiple days - you won't find anything better!

Wow! What more can I say, this place was just fantastic, I just wish we had booked more days here. My wife and I are visiting the UK and Ireland on a 3 month hiking holiday and after staying at 60+ different accomodations on the trip we both agree that this was the best of all our stays.This is a perfect place to set up as a base for exploring the area. The hosts are willing to help with transportation for those hiking the area. We were in the annex, what an awesome space, but more on that below.To start with, Jackie and her husband were so friendly and helpful. We had planned to take a bus the last part of our trip to the B&B but didn't take into consideration the bank holiday and buses not running. We called the B&B to get a taxi number and they were kind enough to just come pick us up. We really enjoyed our few short chats with them, what a lovely couple. My wife has some allergy issues with strong scents and Jackie went to the extra effort to wash our sheets a second time before we arrived to ensure any laundry detergent fragrance was removed. There were just so many little extras, we can't say enough about the amazing service we received here.The annex space is amazing. It's a studio space above the garage and had EVERYTHING you could ask for. It was beautifully layed out and decorated. There is a nice little kitchen, a washer & dryer, nice bathroom and comfortable bedroom/living space.Breakfast was also just great.The only thing I'd note is the roof angles up on each side of the studio to the full roof height in the middle, which looks great! If you're taller than me (6' 2") this design may make it a bit tight for you in the shower area, but I was able to manage it fine, just something to consider for you giants 😉

Though i only stayed for a night, i wished i had stayed longer! Jackie was an immensely incredible host, ensuring that everything was more than satisfactory. Due to the weather, i was concerned about being able to get there on the day itself as i was hiking around, but Jackie kindly offered to pick us up if we couldn't make it.The room itself was immaculate, with attention paid to ensuring you would feel at home. I could not have asked for a better place to stay in!Breakfast was fantastic, with Jackie bringing our pre-chosen food at the given time, and cooked to perfection! I look forward to my next trip up north and will definitely be staying here again ;-)
