We attended a wedding nearby so booked the cottages for a couple of nights they were superb the hosts supplied us with tea coffee hot chocolate a bar of local fudge milk which were all amazing all toiletries were of high standard and they couldn’t do enough for you we are already planning to return

Live only 30 mins away so never visited |Attended a wedding at local venue so stayed over in one of the cottages||I can say this destination is 5 star accommodation as I said I only live 30 mins away but|My wife and I will be returning very shortly just to relax and enjoy the Cumbrian atmosphere.||Excellent

There is nothing you could fault about Scale Hill Hotel, the hosts are fantastic, friendly and really helpful. The rooms are amazing, spacious, clean and stunning. The location is incredible with views to die for in every direction.

What a fabulous hotel and we cannot rate it highly enough. We booked the whole hotel for family to stay for our daughter's wedding. Heather and her team were incredibly kind and welcoming and nothing was too much bother. The cottages and rooms were fantastic and so well stocked and the garden and terrace were beautiful places so sit and relax. Highly recommended!

A wonderful historic coaching in full of characterful antiques and personal touches. My room had an outstanding view of the fells through a large window with a window seat. Breakfast is delicious and served in a beautiful room with fell views. The bed was super comfortable and the heat was adjustable (which I appreciated). The bathroom was sparkling, with new appliances and a towel warmer. I really enjoyed the big bathtub after a long day on the fells! (Not all the rooms have showers so it’s worth asking when you book, if that matters to you.) Heather was so welcoming. And the packed lunches are outstanding! I would love to come back some day.

A beautiful place! This place is just stunning! We stayed in the cottage 'Sheila'. It was perfect. Large spacious rooms with an outdoor seating area. Heather who welcomed us was lovely! She was the perfect host! We were there for a wedding but we will definitely be going back. Can't wait! 😍 Thank you for a lovely weekend at Scale Hill!

We stayed in Barty`s cottage when visiting the area for a wedding at New House Farm and the whole weekend was perfect. The cottage was lovely with everything we needed and the views and surrounding area are beautiful. Excellent.

We stayed in Sheila’s for a couple of nights and can honestly say it was fantastic in every respect: spotlessly clean, well-equipped and in a beautiful setting (with its own private garden as an extra bonus). The views from every room are stunning with a lovely woodland walk to Crummock Water directly opposite the driveway. I ordered some plain scones to have on arrival and they were amazing too! I’ll be recommending Scale Hill to everyone 😍

Absolutely lovely stay at Scale Hill. Stayed in Brackenthwaite Cottage which had a huge bedroom and four poster bed. We opted to add in Breakfast one day which I would highly recommend, delicious cold & hot options with a beautiful view to look at whilst drinking your morning coffee. We were attending a wedding at New House Farm so this was a perfect location a matter of minutes away, but even if you’re not attending a wedding would highly recommend, friendly hospitality and great location.

I booked Scale Hill for guests attending our wedding at New House Farm. The feedback I have received, without exception, has been exceptional. Heather has been the perfect host and the accommodation is perfection. Also plenty of positive feedback regarding the gold standard breakfast. Scale Hill is a little gem with a big heart! If I could give 10Stars I would !

We arrived on Friday lunchtime for a wedding on the edge of a lake||Warm welcome, great breakfasts and lovely room with modern en suite||Heather was very helpful and helped make the whole weekend a lovely experience||We will certainly go back!||The views were fantastic and the carparking close and easy

A very warm welcome to a first class, very comfortable and luxuriously appointed accommodation with plenty of attention to detail. Heather and her team looked after us superbly. The breakfasts were delicious - a real treat. We will definitely again when back in the UK.

We stayed at Scale Hill in Shell Cottage as we were attending a wedding just up the road. What a wonderful place this is, lovely accommodation with everything you could possibly need, peace and quiet and the four poster bed was so comfy. The views and location are stunning. We will hopefully return to explore a little more.Thank you for your kind hospitality it made our stay very special.

I would highly recommend staying at the Scale Hill Hotel near Loweswater in the Lake District. Beautiful location and a wonderful host. Heather couldn't have done more to help us and provided us with a wonderful breakfast so we could be on the road early Sunday morning. Already looking forward to our next visit.
