Superbly peaceful hideaway in glorious rural surroundings.Self contained cosy hut, with some lovely decor and fully stocked essentials.Spotlessly clean, amazing attention to detail.Even on a gloomy, cold, wet November night, the mighty Hobbit stove worked its magic and kept us more than toasty.Would highly recommend. Thanks Hilary!

What a beautiful place to stay! We found this little hut through Air B&B and it was perfect. We took our rescue dog who is scared of people and dogs and it was a fantastic place for her to explore and totally relax. The hut had everything you could need and Hillary was a great host, I'd absolutely recommend for anyone to stay who'd enjoy being off grid for a night or two ❤️

We had a wonderful stay at the hut in the sheep wash for my birthday. Such a peaceful and tranquil location away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We spent the mornings and evenings watching the birds and listening to the little stream. The hut itself is just perfect and has everything you could wish for a super cosy stay. The attention to detail really makes it feel like a home away from home. The fresh scones, eggs and flowers on arrival really made it feel extra special, thanks Hilary! If you’re looking for a peaceful break in a stunning location we would highly recommend the hut in the sheep wash!

We'd been looking forward to staying here for ages, we was really disappointed when we got there we were told there was a gas powered cool box so we brought some food with us, the lady who owned it turned with 2 ice packs and said to us it wasn't warm enough to use the gas? The next day we had to throw our food away. The hut was grubby there was hairs in the bed on the sides and crumbs all over the work top the hob looked like someone had sat on it and the knobs didn't work properly. The garden furniture had seen better day's and the field was all over grown, we cut our weekend short and only stayed one night which was more than enough.I messaged the owner but had no reply. We've stayed in a fair few shepherds huts and we've returned to most of them but this one we definitely won't be.

We had a perfect stay and was made to feel so welcome by Hillary, she left the fire lit so the cabin was lovely and warm, left us some essentials and scones for us to enjoy. The cabin was really cosy and we loved sitting out by the stream and watching the sun set. Can't reccomend enough.

My 3rd time staying at this beautiful, tranquility, cosy hut. It literally is my Perfect getaway, from the busy lives we live. This time I took my 7 year old daughter for her surprise birthday present to spend some quality mummy & daughter time. The weather was shocking but that didn’t matter i packed crafts, books, colouring, painting, a chocolate fondue and lots of games. The hut is set out perfectly for cosy rainy days. We went on a welly walk collecting things for autumn crafts, told stories in front of the cosy fire with hot chocolates. In the morning we were greeted by several beautiful birds tweeting in the trees next to the window. When the rain settled we sat next to the river playing eye spy with a pot of tea and homemade flapjacks provided by Hilary. The hut is fully equipped with its own books, games and little cute touches like fresh flowers, tea, coffee, milk, bread, butter, cereal etc. It really is a little piece of heaven. No phones, TVs, ( we did download a little movie on the iPad prior to arrival incase my daughter wanted an evening movie in bed 🍿🎥 😀) no traffic, nothing but nature and making memories. She loves her present and we had the best time. She can’t wait to come back, although next time might have to be my turn on my own again and then she can come back with me ♥️Thanks again Hilary for another perfect break 💕
