Wonderful stay with a fabulous and attentive host on our C2C bike ride. Our room was exceptionally quiet, despite facing a busy road. Appreciated the easy walk from the train station as well as to the center of town for dinner. The host was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Breakfast was excellent.

We received a very warm welcome from Alison. The whole hotel is immaculately kept and our room was very clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking, lovely seating area for relaxing and you are welcome to bring back a takeaway to eat in the dining room. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Thanks for a fabulous stay!

Unfortunately I arrived here feeling unwell, but I had a lovely friendly welcoming. Then had our case carried up by the host to show us the room (well impressed). We were then asked our orders for breakfast which I'am not a fan of but it's what it is, you had the choice of full English, continental and cereal, to be fair the breakfast was good especially the scrambled eggs they were perfect, was asked if we require more toast along with tea or coffee and juices, you had a choice for spreads on the toast marmalade, marmite, James and chocolate spread. Dining is seated by times which helps I think ensure your breakfast is ready within 5 mins of being seated. The dining room is nicely spaced plenty of room. Now on to the room's, for me the bed was how I like it slightly soft, so I slept great. All the normal kettle, tea, coffees etc. the ensuite was a reasonable size, with bath towels having body wash and shampoo sachets on them. The shower was good easy to use and had a bit of power behind it.So would I use No3 again? It's a no brainer YES most definitely.

Quick stop over in Penrith for one night and couldn’t have asked for a more lovely place to stay. Gorgeous little B&B with private parking a stones throw from the centre. Our host Alison was warm and welcoming and served a superb breakfast! Rooms are cosy, clean and comfortable. Definitely recommended if you’re passing through

Very comfortable bed & lovely room. Tea making facility , water on request, biscuits. Great breakfast not fatty,hot brown toast. | Lovely host & house.Near to town. More accessible from the front if on sticks like me as rather steep steps at the back. Easier if you reverse in but the host will see you out onto the main road.

Centrally located, on site parking by appoinment. Charming Town House, decor light and airey with lots of stylish decorative items everywhere.Comfortable rooms and beds, opening windows for those who like fresh air. Great breakfast expertly cooked by the lovelly Alison, who is at the top of her game.Made our stay memorable by her looking after us very well. Highly recommended place to stay in Penrith.

Most importantly for me they are cycle friendly and could accommodate my trike (the wide loads of the cycling world).There are a range of restaurants close by, for your evening meal and the breakfast I had was the best that we had, on our seven day cycling route.All in all a great place, that I would happily use again or recommend to friends.

Alison is a great host and couldn’t be more helpful. B&B was immaculately clean, breakfast was first class, loved the fresh fruit, porridge and sausages. Very convenient for the centre of town and parking for our cars and storage for our bikes made this the perfect base for our cycling holiday. Would certainly recommend.

A very warm welcome from host Alison when we arrived during a downpour of rain. Very comfortable room and great breakfasts. Alison allowed us to bring in our own (M&S) supper to eat in the breakfast room. A lovely conservatory sitting area a bonus. Vety close to town centre, two minutes walk.

My friend and I shared a twin room at No. 3 Victoria Road whilst completing the Coast to Coast route.Alison was a fantastic host, she was warm and very welcoming and made our stay very pleasant.Our room was very comfortable, clean, and warm. Our ensuite had WC and shower, and once again was very clean and a nice place to get clean after a long day on the bike.Alison made us a fantastic breakfast the 2 nights we stayed with her, full English with great sausages. On our second day she asked if we wanted the sausages in a sandwich to take with us as there were no food stops on the route. This was very kind and helped our long second day of cycling.I thoroughly recommend staying with Alison at No.3, we had a great time staying with her.Ps Alison if you read this, Phill and I completed the C2C 🙂

Wonderful stay. The landlady Alison was so welcoming and made excellent breakfasts each morning. Nothing was any trouble. Room was warm and very clean. We were cycling and there was good bike storage. An EASY 5 stars.
