Great building and location, we had a top floor room with roof window, at over 6ft we had to duck a lot to not hit the roof.

We have stayed here once before and were pleased to return.||The hotel is well located at the end of Cockermouth, making it easy to walk to anywhere in town and there is adequate free car parking and wifi. …

I stayed here years ago and it was good then and to be fair it’s even better now, you are welcomed by an amazing building with free parking and several tables on the garden lawn which looks amazing. We were welcomed by the most amazing young man who checked us in and then made us the most amazing cocktails and brung them out onto the lawn for us, he done this several times and you could tell he actually enjoyed giving us this service. We were on the top level in a lovely well spaced room with all amenities with a sky light to let much needed fresh air in as it was really hot outside. The whole bar area is so relaxed with probably one of the best chefs in the area servicing the restaurant but it was fully booked so we couldn’t eat there but I have in the past and it is amazing. We sat talking to the lady who is one of the owners and she is really nice and makes time to talk to her customers.I really can’t tell you how good the breakfast is here it’s all cooked fresh and the ingredients are high end and this shows as all the plates on the tables where empty, I also have to mention the girls waiting on as nothing was a bother for them and they are so friendly. This place is real value for money and is in a great location as the rest of the town has a lot to offer.Keep up the good work as it really does get noticed even if you can’t see it whilst you are working hard, see you soon.
