We loved our stay at the Clarin Guest House! The location was great, with it only being about a 20 minute walk to the centre of Edinburgh. Nearby there were some great restaurants and shops to pick up quick essentials.We were out most of the days so we had minimal interaction with the owners and staff, but our check-in experience was lovely and very easy. Our room and shared bathroom was very clean, and our beds were very comfortable. The fob and key system was easy to use and check-out was a breeze as well.Would totally recommend Clarin Guest House to anyone seeking simple and easy accommodation in Edinburgh, in a quiet and safe area within a close walk to downtown and very close to The Meadows, a wonderful and huge public park.

10 Small, decent rooms with 2 shared showers and 3 toilets in a well-kept and fairly well located town house. Possibility of free parking. No breakfast or reception, in short just a place to spend the night in peace.

I have had the most amazing time in Edinburgh! This guest house is in a great area, we walked into town everyday! Also so close to Arthur’s seat which we walked up and had great views of the city! The guest house was very well cleaned and comfortable, would definitely recommend

Self check-in at any hour. The accommodation is located in a calm neighborhood, but you can get to the city center fast by several buses. We usually don't prefer shared bathrooms but here it was totally fine, everything clean, it's like a separate room with a toilet and a shower where you can lock yourself. Perfect service. Cheap for the location! I totally recommend, would definitely come again :)

Nice place but walls and floors were really thin so you could hear everything, and didn’t feel private enough, cozy and friendly, I loved that they made a booklet for guests to know were to eat and spend time, wish they had disposable slippers and toothbrush and toothpaste and one or two bottle of water in the room, it would be more comfy.rooms really clean, bed very comfortable. Like the experience.

Liked · The pictures do not do the bedrooms justice. Bedroom was huge, bedroom was nice and tidy, very spacious, luscious soft bed sheets and carpet was clean. Bed was comfortable to sleep in. 2 big beautiful mirrors in the bedroom and a nice bright bedside lamp. Very happy that it was en suite too (Top floor double bedroom). Hall way and staircase carpet and decor also very nice. Suitable location too, only 15-25mins to city centre, and there are plenty of night buses available to and from the guest house, and no curfew, so you can enjoy the nightlife without worry of how to get back.Disliked · Bathroom wasnt as clean as we had hoped, and the bedroom was very cold, had to wrap up and stay in bed for longer than we wanted because it was too cold to just sit on the bed, the heating would turn on and off throughout the day and we couldn't control it, not ideal especially during winter times

We were lucky enough to stay at the Clarin Guest House. What a beautiful couple. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the hospitality was superb. I can recommend this glorious Guest House very highly. Thankyou Kim and Andy for making our stay so special. You are truly gorgeous people.

Owners of kindness and discretion, Kim will take the time to explain everything to you, even repeating it to you. Please note that they do not speak French at all.the establishment is very clean and very quiet, you have kisses all the time just next door
