Beautiful B&B run by a very nice older couple, which is centrally and quietly located. During the delicious, personally prepared Full Scottish Breakfast you will also receive a visit from the house's sweet cat: Darcy.The rooms are quite small, but well equipped. We haven't slept so well in a long time. Through the window we not only had a view of the beautiful garden, but we could even see the top of Arthur's Seat.

Very basic B&B consisting of two onsuite rooms in a small detached house owned and run by an elderly couple. Rated as 4 Star by Scottish Tourist Board, probably a good while ago as the organisation has been called VisitScotland since 2007. I'd say it's more like a 3 Star at best and probably due for a re-grading.Good location being just far enough away from city centre to be quiet but still close enough to city attractions.Breakfast wasn't the best event we had expected, given the reviews from others. Again, it was a very average affair.It was quite expensive at £320 for two nights at the weekend, which is likely based on the 4 Star rating they seem to have.Beware that they do not take card payments ! Cash or Cheques only. Annoyingly, we had to go to the cash machine on 2 occasions to withdraw the amount needed. I'd think this may put off some folk who'd prefer to use their debit/credit card to pay it off over a few months.We've stayed at a lot of 4 Star hotels and B&B's all over the UK. Unfortunately, this is just not up to 4 Star standards or quality that most folk would expect these days.Might be worth considering somewhere else if you're looking for that 4 Star experience.

A lovely place to stay, Ann and Mike made me feel so welcome. The bedroom is lovely and light, with views out over the garden. Breakfast was excellent, both the cooked and also the very special marmalade! I look forward to returning.

We had a wonderful weekend at Tantallon B&B. Mike and Ann were the perfect hosts, and very interesting people to chat with. They made our minimoon such a memorable and special occasion. The breakfast is excellent - fresh breads from their daughters bakery and a selection of homemade jams. The room was like a home away from home - we would like to visit again!
