Our stay in Edinburgh wouldn't be the same if we hadn't chosen Gerald's Bed & Breakfast! I will try to describe here a little bit of what these three days were like.Gerald is already in his 90s, and runs his B&B in the heart of Edinburgh's New Town, the B&B is in a cozy, British Regency architecture building, with a multitude of paintings, engravings and books that reflect his personality. Gerald welcomed us with open arms and a tight hug, a super gentleman, dear and interested in his guests' plans as well as their stories.He prepares a fresh breakfast, sits down with you to talk about Edinburgh, talking about history, recommendations on what to do, where to eat, etc.We loved every moment with him, one of the most special people we've met in recent times!Long live Gerald and his lovely B&B.

Another wonderful stay at Gerald's Place. It is in a great location, close to the centre of Edinburgh and the rooms are cosy and comfortable. Gerald is a warm and lovely host and he cooked us a wonderful breakfast. I am already looking forward to coming back.

My partner and I stayed with Gerald in August and couldn't have been happier with our choice. The location was excellent, the property was beautiful and full of art, and the breakfast was incredible! Gerald was kind, funny and so interesting we could've stayed up all night talking to him (and nearly did). He know Edinburgh really well and it alwahs happy to give advice on where to go and what to see. He recommended an excellent restaurant to us and even gave us advice on whiskey! Gerald's place is a true gem and I cannot recommend it enough. We can't wait to go back and visit.
