We had a fantastic week on the Isle of Skye (end of July/ beginning of August) based from Heatherfield Lodge. It is approximately a 10 minute drive from Portree. The Lodge was excellent. All the rooms were spacious. The views from the living room & main bedroom across the tidal Loch to Portree & beyond were spectacular! Birdwatchers would love it. The kitchen was very well equipped. There was even tea, coffee & a small bottle of milk provided (much appreciated after a near 13 hour journey)! The internet was very good, often having all five of us using it with no issues. All the rooms are on the ground floor, with the upstairs rooms locked (we had assumed our bedrooms were upstairs before we arrived). The games room (ie, the former garage) was a nice addition. If we ever get to return to Skye, this place will be our first choice for a place to stay!

Beautiful house very comfortable with pool table and table tennis unfortunately pool cues where broken.
If you want somewhere quiet and relaxing after a day sightseeing highly recommend it

The house is incredibly well located, very comfortably furnished and the hosts are so nice and welcome you. You immediately feel at home here.
