Great! We liked that we didn't spend our entire holiday in Scotland in this accommodation. Thank God we only booked the Sky Bay house for 3 days. All the other accommodation we booked in Scotland were fantastic and well worth the money. We had a great holiday in Scotland with wonderful experiences - we only have bad memories of staying in the Sky Bay house. A pity! When we arrived we discovered that the terrace was under construction. There were wooden boards and beams scattered around, and the railings on the stairs and on the terrace itself were missing. Therefore we were unable to use the terrace and outdoor area of the property. We booked the accommodation because we wanted to have breakfast on the terrace and sunbathe on it when the weather was nice. We had fantastic weather during our stay - but unfortunately it wasn't possible to sunbathe on the unfinished terrace. Who likes sunbathing on a construction site?! And we paid money for that!!The stairs and terrace posed a major safety risk as they were not secured by a railing. The path to the rear garden was inaccessible due to building materials and demolition waste. Only there were clotheslines there to hang up the laundry...On the first morning of our stay we were disturbed by very loud hammering and sawing from a worker while we were eating breakfast. He only stopped when we asked him to and told us that he actually wanted to finish the porch in the next 3 days. Exactly the time of our stay.Unfortunately, the whole situation significantly affected our holiday experience. The noise and disorder caused by the construction work were not only disruptive, but also posed a safety risk. Nobody imagines a vacation like this. The accommodation is not a bargain in terms of price. You can expect to find what you booked. We complained to the owner several times and asked for some of the money we paid back. We are still waiting for an answer today. Our advice: stay away from this house!

We spent two nights at Skye Bay at the end of September 2021 and didn't want to leave!! The house has plenty of space, it's been decorated in a lovely way and the location is perfect. The kitchen is fab (everything is super high spec) and the view from it is awesome. Shout out to the team who run this for being so great and quick on communication. I'd absolutely stay here again!
