Wow wow wow!! Were our first words when we saw the place and we couldn't stop saying wow as we looked around. The view from the cabin was fantastic, and you could even soak in the view as you soaked in the bathAngela and Neil were great hosts and we really appreciate the Christmas package they put together for us. The stay here really made our holiday and this year's Christmas extra special.The bookshelf also had so many good reads. Reading and admiring the view in the cosy indoors was as enjoyable as exploring the beautiful Isle of Skye.

An absolutely beautiful place to stay and the perfect base to explore Skye. Angela and Neil gave us a friendly welcome and had provided some lovely extra touches to help us settle in. The accommodation had everything we needed and was well located to feel both secluded, whilst also in easy reach of Portree town and other destinations. The Skye Candle Co shop, with cinema and pizza restaurant, just a few minutes walk away was an unexpected bonus. But the best thing was looking out at that amazing view (with visits from birds and pine martens).

An outstanding place to stay when visiting Skye!We eloped to Skye and we are so glad we stayed at Air an Oir. Angela and Neil were amazing hosts, going above and beyond in welcoming us and making our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The place is absolutely stunning, perfectly-kept and fitted with all the luxurious amenities one can think of. We loved the little food gifts we got once we arrived, and we even got a lovely gift for our elopement which was really heart-warming to receive.We look forward to coming back another time!

My husband and I spent our long-anticipated honeymoon at Air an Oir. Angela and Neil were so accommodating when we had to postpone due to the pandemic.The house is absolutely beautiful with so many thoughtful touches (also impeccably clean and Covid-safe!). It has the most stunning views from every room - seeing seals mooching about on the shore opposite while we were having breakfast was wonderful. We even got to see the resident pine marten coming to collect his eggs and nuts twice (a highlight of our stay!). The house is perfectly positioned for day trips across Skye.Angela and Neil were really friendly and responsive whenever we had any questions, such wonderful hosts. Air an Oir is a real sanctuary. We will definitely be booking a return visit :)

It's one of our favourite stays. You really feel at home here and we love the high standards offered by Angela and Neil.For us as interior designers we really have to say that this is a lovely and homey place, better than any 5* Boutique hotel.Location is also really fantastic and you can just enjoy the sea from the sofa.

Everything about this property was perfect, the check in process was simple, convenient and personal. The hosts made us feel very welcome and ensured we had everything we needed, including some lovely suggestions of what we could do in the local area. The views were stunning and allowed us to take some brilliant photos of the local wildlife, meaning even when it rained there was plenty to do and it was lovely to just watch the sea from the comfy sofa! The facilities went above and beyond our expectations!

This place is perfect. You are so close to Portree town but also totally alone. If you want a comfort place to stay and you enjoy to wake up in front of ocean, this is your choice.

My Partner and I, travelled all the way from the bottom of Cornwall to Scotland and it was 100% worth it because of where we stayed. You see, we’re Chefs so we don’t get to have breaks as often as we would like, but this was just a dream come true. The view, the little touches. A very accommodating host— (the partner demolished the cheese and oat cakes.. I had to buy more.) and also despite the weather, we had the perfect holiday.

This was the perfect spot for a getaway and the stay was amazing. From the warm welcome by Angela, a stocked fridge for us hungry travelers, to an immaculate living space complete with a view that was breathtaking to say the least. The whole place is very private and feels like a top notch luxury hideaway but is close enough to portree so we could make a break for fish and chips and groceries. My only regret is we couldn’t stay longer!I would book this self catering cottage every year if I could. Me and the wife absolutely loved it.
