Where to start? Like the man said earlier - shame there are not more stars to give. We arrived after dark to this little place having come from Australia via NYC. The accommodation was very lovely - modern and clean, with a touch of homeliness that was welcoming and warm. After a wonderful sleep in a cosy, comfortable bed, we were absolutely astounded to experience the incredible view that was laid out in front of us The cottage is right on the shoreline at Harrapool, and the land and seascape are simply stunning. World-class.Our hosts Carol and Martin felt like old friends - so personable and helpful. So much friendly information and local advice - it really would not have been the same experience without them. The cottage is so handy for the local amenities and historic walks. We had light rain while we were there, but somehow it just added to the atmosphere - so Scottish and romantic ...You really cannot go wrong with this place. It's like having pride of place in all the town ... no matter what's going on or how the weather is behaving, you're in your own private paradise.Book well ahead - they are very popular and offer extremely good value for money. Only disappointed we could not stay longer. We will be back!

If I could give this 6 stars, I would. Carol and Martin's accommodations were amazing. The room was comfortable and clean, the views were amazing over looking the sound, and the hosts are amazing people to converse with. If we ever make it back to Scotland, this will 100% be booked. Would fully recommend Claigan as a superb stay.

This place is ideal for two people. It is perfect for a week's holiday. Everything is on hand, nice and new and very comfortable. Once you open the blinds in the morning the BAY opens up before you and peace overtakes you. My husband and I had a very peaceful holiday a will return again and again. Allison Wilson.

Thanks to Carol, Martin, Belle and Molly! A superb welcome, very kind. Thank you for your hospitality. We slept in a guest room with our own bathroom. An incredible breakfast! A choice and quality of products that delighted us. The place is quiet, close to a restaurant to eat. The view is superb, of the sea and the mountains in the distance. Comfortable bedding, we slept very well. The price of the room + breakfast is very reasonable compared to others. The dogs are so cute and super friendly. Lovely people. If we have the chance, we will come back.

What a lovely, lovely stay here. My friend and I only had a night’s stopover but we sure wish we stayed longer. Clean, spacious and the full breakfast spread with the most amazing view was the perfect way to end our stay.I honestly wish this would stay as a little secret hideout, but here to give the full 5 stars - because it really deserves it. So glad to have stayed!
