Very rubbish and dirty outside - not inviting. A little better on the inside - reminiscent of bad training camp times.It really wasn't a nice place for us.

Our room (for 5 people) was very small, the beds were all close together making mobility quite difficult. Furthermore there was practically no space to put suitcases and therefore clothes. As for cleanliness, I would say to spread a thin veil, since some pillows had stains and dust was everywhere. The only positive note: the proximity to the center, but I think you can find better.

Dusty and dirty room with terrible smell. The bath in the room is very small and smelly with broken air fan.
The only pro is a comfortable position close to the city center.

After getting put taxi i never saw thw half cut tyres around the trees and frll.Hurt both knees bekng diaabled it caused me pain but your place is lovely.Only thing was thw smell of weed.Im a non smoker but i have given friends ypur number etc for thwit visitsIM SURE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A PERFECT NIGHT,THW OTHERS SLEPT GREAT.THANKYOU FOR OUR STAY

It was a Terrible experience as No Room service was provided for the 3 days and 2 nights we stayed there. Room was in the basement and I was with my wife and 2 daughters. Night time there was no central heating. This guest house is Remotely operated by Someone and expect no to see or talk to anyone at the property. So poor service we will never book it again .

Room and beds were clean. Beds springy and uncomfortable. Bathroom not amenities not abundant. Shower head leaking and floor drain flooding, taking long time to drain.Decent amount of restaurants nearby, less than 5 minute walk. A quick bus trip to a local mall.Overall, great location to the city, easy access to buses. Would recommend if you're on a budget, but expect a bare bones stay.

We loved our stay here mainly because the place was very close to the city center and it was quite practical. We only spent time here to sleep in the evenings. The place was clean and tidy with enough amenities.The room was rather small to accommodate 3 double beds but we knew this ahead of time so can't argue about it. The only thing I would recommend is having air conditioning in the room.The best thing about the place is its affordability and walkability to main attractions in the city.

One corner of the very small room where one of the beds were crammed smelled of mildew. They managed to cram the things one may need into this room, but just. There was a side table with a kettle and tea, but one has to crawl across one of the beds to access it. Service was accessable by email and they were very responsive.

This dormitory is in a residence with free private parking located 30 minutes from the castle. Between Carlton and Arthur Seat. Check-in at any time thanks to the box containing the keys which is a real plus! The only downside is the uncomfortable bedding :)

Cheap, that is definitely advantage. And rooms were clean. Theare is really lack of space in most of rooms, I saw. Bathroom and toilet in the box inside the room, funny. A bit mouldy on the top of our room, not too much.

So, we had 2 rooms with 4 single beds and 2 double beds + 1 single bed. The rooms were in the basement area and smelled quite musty (- mold?) upon arrival.The windows couldn't be opened and the heating was turned on. How you're supposed to sleep like that with 4 people in such a small space is actually absurd. In an emergency, we left the room doors and the outside door to the backyard open at night to at least get some air. Bed linen and towels were clean, but the mattresses were completely worn out.Luckily we were only there for 1 night!!Despite the relatively cheap price for Edinburgh, not recommended!!!

Very clean. Rooms are newly refurbished. However abit hot as no aircon in summer and windows can onlyBe opened just a crack… IWokeUp around midnight to a crazy woman yelling and banging the doors!!! Apparently drunk people here are prevalent
