I'll start with the good:The rooms are spacious (as you would expect for an apartment suite). The amenities are functional. Everything was clean. The location is excellent if you are looking for convenient access to public transportation, shopping, and restaurants. Most of the staff was as friendly and helpful as I'd expect of a Marriott property. The restaurant was good (we did not try the breakfast, though).Laundry facilities are available for free use, but there is only one washer and one dryer on selected floors (we only found them on floor 11, but there are supposed to be other laundry facilities on two other floors) so it may be difficult to get access if someone else beat you to it. Still, free self-service laundry in any capacity is a nice perk and was appreciated. The confusing:As other reviews commented, Marriott status apparently works differently here (and nowhere did I see this explained; I only found out after the fact by calling Bonvoy customer care to explain the apparent reward discrepancies). Elite nights are only earned at 1/3 the normal rate for some reason. I.e. every three nights stay counts as one "normal" night. You get no bonus rewards for status for undisclosed reasons. This includes points earned, upgrades, etc..Housekeeping only comes every three days. This was clearly explained to us at check-in and wasn't a problem for us at all, but people considering staying here should be aware of this ahead of time. The bad:First and foremost, several days into our stay I noticed that our room door was unlocked. As in: it no longer was possible to lock it when we left the room. It turned out that a battery in the door lock had died and needed to be replaced. The default is for the door to just be unlocked when this happens. This is absolutely crazy to me, and so irresponsible of the hotel that I cannot begin to understand how it was allowed to happen. Since there's no indication that the battery failed other than you no longer need a key to enter, I am not certain how many days we left all of our belongings in an unlocked, unattended room. If doors are going to fail open when batteries die (instead of a much more secure design of requiring a physical key instead of the NFC key), then the hotel needs to be responsible enough to proactively change the batteries well before failure. No room should be unlocked while occupied. Period.Several days into our stay our keys stopped working for the elevator. Maybe the battery in the elevator stopped working? Regardless, it was fixed promptly.Another issue that was more difficult to forgive involves towels. The third day of our stay we asked for additional towels. I called down to the front desk and was assured that housekeeping was on their way with towels. An hour and a half later I called again, as no towels had arrived. I was polite, and merely asked if they could send someone up with more towels as we still had not received any. The woman at the front desk was quite snippy with me, stating "I already called housekeeping and they're on their way right now!". An hour after that still no towels. A third call resulted in a gentleman at the front desk bringing up the towels himself. Similar issues happened several days later, with the first request for towels going unfulfilled (although everyone was polite this time around). Finally (and, tbh, least), the television services were rather archaic. No TV guide was provided. No streaming options. Only 10 channels are visible at a time, and no indication of what may be playing on those channels currently. I expected a more modern system, at least allowing use of personal streaming services if a modern interactive channel guide isn't provided.Would I stay here again? Maybe, solely because the benefit of a kitchenette coupled with needing room for 3 makes it difficult to find alternatives outside of proper hotel chains. But I'd look very hard for those alternatives knowing that at any time my door could become unlocked while I was out.

The only reason for the low review is the unacceptably slow internet speeds. In our world a 5 star property should have acceptable internet speeds. I have uploaded a picture of terrible speeds to document exactly how unacceptable. We have continued to come back and the staff has resolved their internet issues. Most of the staff are very nice and will make sure your stay is the best it can be by asking for whatever you need when you need something

My rating would be a 4.5 more than a 5 star. The rooms are very large and clean, the kitchen is functional, views are amazing and the hotel is located close to transportation hubs, shopping, restaurants. Again, location is amazing! They have laundry room free of charge for the apartments but they don’t clean them as they should. Room cleaning comes every 3 days but they are really helpful and responsive if you ask for new towels and toiletries.Receptionists are nice but not always helpful.I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would choose it again on my next visit.

DO NOT STAY IF YOU’RE A REWARD MEMBER!The only reason we stayed here was in order to retain my husband’s platinum status with Marriott. As these are Marriott apartments you don’t get the rewards you would do with a stay in the hotels. It’s such a contradiction of terms, you check in and the woman’s opening line is thank you for being a loyal Marriott bonvoy member, then she leads with you know you don’t get any of your normal perks you normally do with a stay; no lounge access, no breakfast and your stay is not counted towards your points / your nights are not counted either, we then queried could we stay in the hotel as an alternative and she was not bothered in helping provide an alternative at all! The accommodation is very tired and if you stay in the 1 bed the view is deplorable you hear the fans all night + the DLR and we were on the 11th floor.Do not stay here as there are far better alternatives for far less! The only reason we stayed is we needed the microwave to sterilise our baby’s equipment and the location is very convenient from LHR, however there are far superior locations in London and far better cheaper options to stay that are far more luxurious/ competitively priced.

This time I chose this five-star hotel apartment and stayed for 11 nights. The price I booked at the lowest price including tax was about £230. The lobby room is over 50 square meters with a king-size double bed. …

Marriott Executive Apartments London have a very substandard service compared to other Marriott hotels and apartments worldwide. The housekeeping is offered once on 3 days and even then they miss it despite reminders. Restaurant and concierge is good but front desk and housekeeping services are poor and sub standard. It's no way possible to communicate and be understood by Front desk. Poor communication and lack of understanding is at the core of this Marriott. It's like book at your own risk.

The Marriott executive apartments operate separately from the Marriott hotel, but share the lobby. The apartments are on floors 10 to 12. Whilst spacious, it appears that these haven't been renovated since the opening twenty years ago, so they are in a bit of a state. Housekeeping standards were so-so (there was a bunch of towels left outside in the corridor by someone that just remained there for 36 hours). There was a problem with the air conditioning which meant that one of the evenings the temperature didn't go lower than 25 degrees and the windows don't open.Recognition for status is poor. I was given the worst apartment within the category I booked, they didn't even bother giving me a better room within the same category, despite my Ambassador status. After asking they moved me from an apartment facing the motorway to one facing the dock. Can't really recommend.

Stayed for a week in the executive apartment and had a mixed experience.Good parts:1. The staff was pleasant and helpful, if they’re not able to fulfil a request they’ll try their every contact to ensure it’s done2. The food menu is good3. Rooms are spacious with good beddingBad parts:1. The Internet speed is super slow! Especially considering the cost I’m paying for the rooms2. Usually serviced apartments I’ve stayed in have washing machines, but Mariott doesn’t and charge you separately for laundry (if you want to do)3. The utensils in the the kitchen were not cleaned properly when I checked in4. The Lifts - there’s something weird with the lift programming. Everytime you press the lift button, the lift which is further away will come instead of one closer byAll in all - great location, but not a value for money experience.
