I checked-in late in the evening and was greeted with happy staff. I was on the first floor overlooking a balcony, the view was nice, there were refreshments in the room, 24/7 access to teas/coffee in the lobby area (free)- it was nice and very relaxing. The bed was really, really comfortable and I slept like a log. Want to thank the staff at Woodford Hotel for the pleasant stay and I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to others.

This hotel is the jewel in the crown of Woodford! I had an extended stay and I couldn't have felt more at home. A beautifully converted house with some lovely original features such as the arch and stained glass window at the top of the staircase opposite the reception. This is incorporated with the modern, contemporary decor. The staff are exceptional and you couldn't ask for a more friendly and welcoming team. Excellent transport links to central London (10mins to Central Line) and plenty of local shops, bars and restaurants within a 5 minutes walk. I would recommend The Woodford Hotel to anyone, whether it's business or pleasure, and you need look no further than here. Ian "101"

So, I was expecting my friends from India whose flight got delayed and the place where they were supposed to stay wasn't accessible anymore. This is when Woodford Hotel came into play. They offered us a check in around 2 am for which I am really thankful to them. The hotel is quite tiny and the washrooms as well but it is just so clean so hygenic. The staff was helpful as well.Unlike other hotels, they have a spacious lounge beside reception where you can have your tea/ coffee or sit in an open space for fresh air.Tip for hotel: Please also put lids for the takeaway cups.

I knew it was going to be basic, I never expected it be this small room right at the top, no air from window. Pillows seen better days. Have asked for 2 more for later. Hardly slept, room too hot despite heating off and window open. …

This should better be called a hostel where individuals have separate rooms.Imagine a 3-level Victorian home, with steep staircases and tiny rooms next to each other. Yes, this was not built as a hotel but someone converted a Victoria house to a 'hotel'. (I am smiling while writing this.)Someone of the quirks:- Rooms are tiny and no tables in rooms.- Many rooms share a communal toilet at each level.- Beds reasonably clean.- If you want coffee, need to go downstairs and get hot water from a communal hot water dispenser. (Reminds me of university dorm.)- A tiny fridge, 0.5m x 0.5m serve everyone in that building. Impossibly small even for a single person.- Located in residential area off a local high street.- Hotel has limited parking. Guests can park on the street but it is in a controlled zone with parking permits for residents. Mind those traffic tickets!- Hotel Wi-Fi is good enough for online working.- They have two executive rooms and each has big TV and coffee facilities inside. However, has to be paid for. This should be appropriately called a hostel. The word "hotel" is really not appropriate here!
