This hotel was probably the worst hotel I have visited. There were stains in the toilet, the shower pipe was bursting, the wall paper was falling off, the kettle had no accessible plug socket, the room was tiny and my boyfriend got locked in the bathroom because the door broke (hilarious). But it all seemed to be falling to pieces.The worst part about this hotel was the death lift, it would jump when you got to the bottom and it felt like it was going to brake every time.

The place is very quiet... and close to the sea, where I was studying at the ETC Institute. It is very close to it, only two minutes away. I enjoyed the office there for two whole months, me and my son.

I stayed hereoI stayed here 19th July 2021, paid for my parking as stated. Received a ticket from Smartparking, appealed it gave them evidence of my purchase. They informed that the hotel had not passed on the details to them stating I was a customer, even though when I registered in I had to give them my car details , due to this I had to pay £60 on top off everything else. Contacted the hotel and was informed by Darren that owner does not get involved because the parking is done independently.So I can only conclude that my car details was not passed on out of malice? Because when we arrived we asked the person on duty, to vacuum our room as the floor was filthy and he was not happy or willing to do so. Was not going to complain but what they did and how they treated me was in outrageous.

Receptionist very rude on arrival, felt like he was doing you a favour by letting you stay in his hotel not very welcoming. Bathroom was dirty on arrival, bath not cleaned scum marks in bath. I was left plastic Jagerbom glasses to rinse my mouth with after brushing 😂😂 classy... 🤣🤣. Beds are very old and mattresses are very uncomfortable. The hotel and facilities really needs updating. They charge you separately for parking £5.50 per day and to use the WiFi,£3.20 per day. Instead of just including it in the room price. To be fair the room was cheap but isn't when you add all the extras. 3 stars is laughable.it should have barely achieved 1star. Won't be staying here again, and suggest you dont. Will be letting my hotel management company know not to use this hotel ever again.😡

Run down exterior and interior. Funny smell throughout. Rude man at reception. Horrible dirty twin room. Weird scabby sofa bed in the hallway on the way to our room. Automatic creepy lights - I’m all for energy saving, but this felt like something out of a horror movie. So bad that we’d only checked in for 5 minutes and decided to get out of there and stay elsewhere. The man on reception was incredibly rude and argumentative when I told him I would like to check out immediately due to being dissatisfied with the room/hotel - his response was “well it’s a twin room!”, as if I was just being fussy! 😅 The hotel refused even a partial refund (we were booked for 2 nights).Avoid! This was unclean and we actually felt unsafe/unwelcome being there, so honestly don’t waste your money.

It's the small things they say. This is too many small things:- The lamp in our room wouldn't turn on. We took it to Reception and they said they didn't have another one because they were fully booked. How about getting a few spare for exactly this situation? Since we booked a small room, having a light that wasn't the overhead one was important.- I'm not a tall man, barely 5'6, and the shower nozzle would touch my head. You couldn't extend it.- The front of the hotel says LIFT TO ALL FLOORS, the lift is not working. In high season. Very convenient for them. Wonder how long that has been broken?- There was no free breakfast due to corona measures. We're out of lockdown. Are the rooms cheaper? Of course not. So it's a problem only for the customer.- Our room was next to an emergency exit which was the only way to get in or out of that floor, since there are no lifts. This door closed on its own, slamming every time. You could feel it inside the room every time it happened. Every other door of this sort had a door stopper. I ended up putting a small towel there.I'm only giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because at least it was pretty clean. Avoid this hotel, they clearly don't care about you or are too cheap to do so (nothing cheap about the room prices tho)

The pictures online do not show how this place really is. Room 312 was not cleaned in a long while, mould on the walls, that they tried to cover up, bathroom door had no lock on it, so we had to ask each other to put a heavy bag against the door so it would stay shut. TV remote control was filthy. Daughter checked under the covers of the bed and it had crumbs. Sheet on top was dirty. Carpet had a rip in it by the bed. Windows had condensation. Cobwebs and on the headboard was dust. Parking also advertised as £4.50 per day but is actually £4.90. We were booked to stay 24th August - 27th August, we booked a new hotel to stay from the 25th. Thoroughly disappointed ☹️

Before booking this Hotel, go out shopping and buy Home Alone 2 on DVD. Go home and pop it in the DVD player. Fast forward to 1 hour, 29 minutes and 30 seconds and hit play for the most accurate review of the Croham.
