Unfortunately my husband and I did not have a good experience here. Although It’s in a good location, breakfast was very tasty, and the lady who worked there was very nice, we were quite disappointed overall. There was no one to greet us when we arrived, simply a code to get in the main entrance (it’s no longer used as a cafe, just a B&B) and an envelope on the counter with a code to our individual room. Once we got to the room, the toilet seat was not secure and was sliding around, the shower door didn’t close fully (and if you’re a larger person I don’t know if you could even fit in the shower), the curtain rod was a minute away from falling on our heads, and the headboard of the bed was loose so that you couldn’t even really lean on it properly. Lastly, the fire alarm on the ground floor went off from about 1:00 to 4:30 in the morning, constantly beeping and making it incredibly hard to sleep. We ended up going down there ourselves to try to figure out how to turn it off, and at the same time hoping nothing serious was going on. We were told that currently the place is in a transfer of ownership, but it’s unfortunate that during this time we suffered the consequences of no one seeming to care about our stay. I would not say at this moment it’s even close to being worth the money we had to pay for the night (around €77).

What a pleasant surprise! Very neat and tidy. Freshly painted and renovated. Welcoming. Great breakfast. Very chatty staff. Good location in centre of town, but surprisingly quiet after 11pm. Nearby eateries and pubs. Public car park within 100 yards.Staircase a bit torturous. So book first floor rooms! We will stay again when in Poole.

In middle of Poole shopping centre, close to the harbour. Surprisingly quiet at night. Lovely little cafe with rooms above.
