The place is nothing fancy but it is very clean, and has a kind host. It was just what we needed after a terrible day. The beds were comfy and the was shower hot. What more do you need? We’d happily use again or recommend it to others. The whole thing for, booking to the stay itself was straightforward.

I needed to go to Leeds for a business trip. I struggled to find somewhere to stay because there was a big conference on, and many places were full or very expensive, so I came across the Beechwood B&B near Roundhay Park. …

Stayed here for 11 nights. Cheap and cheerful. It's not a fancy place, but for me it was a great stay as I was visiting relatives who were a 5 minute drive from there, and was getting over jetlag (came from the states). There's not MUCH to do walking distance from there, but there are a few restaurants and places to pick up food as well as bus stops nearby. I'm diabetic and have meds that required a fridge, so I asked if they had one and they lent me one for my stay. Family members are friendly and helpful, room was clean even if a bit worn around the edges, and they respected my request that they NOT clean it during my stay (which is my preference). I stayed on a ground floor room fit for 2 people max (no dogs, there's a room across the hall that they allow folks with dogs to use), and a very small but efficacious ensuite bathroom (with an old fashioned sink where the hot and cold come out of separate taps). There's an old fashioned heater in there that you set yourself by turning a handle, and the bed is comfy and it's blanket was warm ...and the room had a window that is set up high, and opens to the alley between the hotel building and the private home where the owners live (if you want fresh air). The shower looked a little scary (its tiny and you can see under it) but it worked well enough, with hot water and decent water pressure. I liked it so much that I've been telling other family members about it for when we visit my uncle who lives nearby. (Oh, and if you look at google maps and see a Tesco across the street, which I got very excited about when booking the place, that's an error on Google's part; the Tesco is down a the street a few blocks away)

I highly recommend! They were very considerate of our religious requirements and made substantial changes to our electricity on Shabbat. The whole building and the rooms were really cleanIt's worth checking in advance if it's possible to make changes to the heating because sometimes we were cold but we didn't ask, so maybe if we had asked they would have added heating in the roomThey are very nice and considerate
