I'm Japanese.I stayed in room 6.First of all, there are very few accommodations in London that cost around 10,000 yen per night. Basically it costs over 200 pounds. This hotel has an overwhelming advantage in that regard.The room has a shower room and there is a shared toilet in the hallway. The shower room is a little dirty, but it's totally tolerable. Hot water also comes out properly.Water pressure is a little weak. The toilet is also not dirty, just because there is no washlet.In the first place, the cities in the UK are all old, so there are basically no new, shiny facilities like in Japan. So people who wrote that it was dirty were probably expecting something like that.When I checked out, the cleaning staff asked me, ``Did you experience any inconveniences?'', so I think they are proactive about improving quality.In terms of problems, in the case of room 6, the Wi-Fi is a little slow. Wi-Fi may be faster in rooms on the second floorPlease note that after booking, you will receive an email from the hotel asking you to submit your ID online and pay the hotel deposit of £150 by credit card. I learned about the security deposit when I came to England, so I decided to pay the deposit in Japan before I left.

SCAMEEEE! TO RUN AWAY! If we could put zero, I would have done so. Hotel which is not a real hotel but rather an airb&b. Not to be confused with the homonym less than 5 minutes away on foot! Dated room and bathroom, dirty carpet, musty smell, non-existent view, not at all charming given that we were located in the basement. Nothing is in good condition. Pay attention to the photos on booking and on the internet, trust the photos in the reviews!! The position is good and close to the metro but you need much more than that for a good hotel stay. After seeing the room we decided to book another hotel further from the metro, but at least much more charming and “healthy”.

It seems there are good and bad rooms.I was scared because I had read the bad reviews, but it was actually much better than I expected.Maybe it was because I got lucky and got a room on the top floor.The room had a private shower room, which was not large but usable.The kitchen and bed were clean. If you can, I recommend asking for a room on the top floor. (It's hard to go up the stairs.)

As I’m writing this I am in tears. This was supposed to be a special trip for me, but ruined in the very first minutes. The pretty pictures are just for display and imagination. The pictures do not match the reality. I’m in tears, there is no curtain, no blinds nothing, I was showering and people were passing in the street, so they had a whole free naked show. The property does not respond, I send a message when I first got here they called acted surprise and never again replied. That’s when I had the idea to see the reviews and confirm that it was ent my mind. It’s dirty, it’s broken, considering going to the hospital because I don’t know what’s in this bed that I can’t stop itching. My head is aching because I can’t stop crying. I see people saying it’s a great location but since I got here I had been trying to talk to the property to see if I can get another place but no reply….been going back and forward with the booking agency and the property….started this dispute at 4pm it’s now 11pm and nothing positive, my very first day and very first time and I’m in shambles. Really considering going back home tomorrow. If you are reading this, go thru my other comments, I never give a bad review, normally when I don’t like something I pretend that it never happened. But these people, whoever they are I really hope the worst for you, this was really evil and ill intended. A lie, update your pictures in the website and show people the reality, because I had I the chance to know only Hod knows I wouldn’t be here with a headache and itchy body.

CAUTION!!!I booked a nice, bright, small room with a window and a table at Kensington Gardens (london collection) online.I was given a smelly, dirty and dark room down in the BASEMENT!Calls, emails and messages from me to the landlord were ignored.The landlord demands a deposit of 150 pounds when checking in on the same day, which is cheeky for a room like this since one lamp was already broken and hadn't been changed.I got the deposit back the day after I checked out.The bathroom is very, very narrow and has no ventilation.When you open the shower door you come across a lamp that will quickly break if you are not careful.The microwave and kettle were not cleaned.Not recommended.Pure rip-off from the company.

There was no heating in my room as the radiator was not working: I rang the hotel contact number (allegedly open till 7pm) and was sent straight to an answer machine - I assume because they'd gone home - at 5.30pm. I tried the live chat, I emailed & rang again several times: to which I received no reply, and still have not.I was staying here in January, so it was freezing. I had to leave after 1 hour of being there & instead booked a hotel round the corner. I have been trying to get in touch to obtain a refund, but again: to no avail.0/5 would not recommend.

BED BUGS. Absolutely disgusting tiny bathroom, with mould, and rotten wood, dangerous electrical fittings and unsanitary equipment. and did I mention BED BUGS. Mattress was old and lumpy. Sharp object on corner of shower try cut my ankle open. No wash basin in bathroom. AVOID LIKE THE ACTUAL PLAGUE THAT INFESTS THIS PLACE.

The ceiling was mouldy (photos provided), the bed was unclean and aggravated my skin, as well as being ridden with bugs. The main light was not working and there was a very bad smell from the shower.Only good thing is its location.While it may seem like an economical option, do not choose Kensington Gardens.

Avoid like the devil!Not worth your money. The pictures are deceiving. It's damp, smells of mold and sewage, the ventilation is nonexistent. Incredibly disappointing “hotel”. There are holes in the floor in several places, disgusting bathroom, and dirty kitchen.It’s self check in with no staff on the premises. We contacted them multiple times with our complaints, to no avail.The only positive is that it's a nice neighborhood.All in all: worthless accommodation! When in London, do yourself a favor - stay somewhere else!

Horrible! Never go here!Everything is absolutely terrible. Unless you like dirty motel-like rooms where everything is broken and smelly.No daylight, holes in the floor, stains and dirt and mold everywhere. Unfortunately, all the bad reviews here are correct. A total rip off! Misleading pictures on their website! The toilet hadn’t been even screwed to the floor, it was propped on the floor by wooden wedge, so after sitting on it the whole toilet thing started liking water. Whoever came to fixed, screwed everything up and flooded the bathroom!The mattress is a joke! Basement rooms are cheap and nasty!!There are used mattresses by the main entrance to the building.Once inside it’s smelly as well.So , I hope you get a picture dear reader! Avoid!!!
