We stayed at this lovely family run campsite back in the Summer for two nights. Jay was extremely helpful with the booking, even when we needed to change things at the last minute. The pitches are spacious and it was great to have a kids playground so accessible. The toilet and shower facilities were clean and tidy and it was great to have washing up areas with kettles provided to boil for hot water. Having the communal fridge was also a great help as we were two families so wouldn't have managed with just our cool boxes. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners whilst we were there and the onsite coffee shop was a definite bonus (closed Sundays I think). We could hear the road nearby but the noise wasn't excessive.

We were here for two nights which gave us the opportunity to ride our bikes in this area and visit some nice places. The noise from the nearby fairly busy street did not disturb us at night. The bathrooms are totally okay, definitely clean, the hot showers very comfortable. The owner is not only friendly but shows interest in the well being of his guests. We recommend this site. Thanks for two great days!

We stayed in the most delightful shepherd's hut. It was immaculate inside, beautifully fitted out with everything you could possibly need. The shower room was very nicely decorated, good towels provided. Our bed was really comfortable and the hut was cosy and warm. The outside kitchen was super to use, with all the equipment necessary to cook meals easily. There was also a fire pit, and comfortable bench to sit on in a small lawned area. The owners were really friendly and made us feel very welcome. We had a most enjoyable stay at Cedar Gables and would certainly return.

This is a fantastic campsite. It feels generous which is a feeling you don't get from many sites. As I was hiking through the local area and after a particularly challenging day I was met with a warm welcome and shown around. Phone charging points, a kettle, fridges and freezers and somewhere comfy to sit and chill was exactly what I needed. It really did surpass any expectations I had. I slept great and the shower and toilet facilities are immaculate. Also a great place to grab a coffee from in the morning right next door. This is genuinely one of the best sites I've ever come across and I've sampled many, 100s probably all over the UK. Thankyou!
