I am reposting here my review from Booking.com of my very disappointing experience, especially given the price, together with some photos I took.POSITIVESThe apartment is well situated for visiting Bath and reasonably well equipped. I appreciated the space heater, books, and coffee and tea provisions.NEGATIVESThe photos are misleading; they don’t show the actual entrance but instead the house above. I am attaching a photo of the actual entrance and access. The property is in a basement (which is mentioned in the listing but not prominently enough in my opinion), only accessible via a steep flight of poorly maintained stairs and with barely any natural light. The worn lock doesn’t feel secure and it’s not possible to double-lock the door.Inside, the apartment is cheaply furnished, cramped and mostly soulless. The WiFi was patchy and didn’t work in the kitchen area, so I had to spend two days working on the sofa. The TV had few working channels. You can hear everything the people in the house above do, and presumably vice versa!Be careful with parking - the recommended road nearby is “residents only” during the day and it cost me nearly £100 to park my car for 60 hours nearby. Admittedly this is not the owners’ fault, as parking in Bath is a nightmare all round, but there is no good solution if you’re bringing a car.To top things off, the property wasn’t clean enough; I found dirty cutlery, a used wet wipe in a bathroom bin, and smears of what looked like blood on the bedspread. I was very disappointed with this place and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Very clean, but it is a basement room without windows, if it is stuffy you have to open the door to the outside
