Had a lovely stay, accommodation just right for my wife and myself..pet friendly and only a short drive from Watchet and Minehead. Loved the hot tub and peaceful setting ( monkey calls and peacock callsfrom Tropiquaria Wildlife Park give a unusual background noise at times, but dont last long lol)

Had a week here. The setting is second to none, the wildlife beautiful with the added benefit the of a animal park nearby so being woken to the sounds of monkeys really unusual. The property was rented to me as a luxury cottage. Felt a bit let down by this. For example, the tea towels were old pub mats and some of the kitchen ware needed to be updated, I've slept on better beds in a youth hostel! The furniture needs updating. On a good note the jacuzzi was great and very well taken care of by the owner, would have preferred to take care of this myself so we weren't restricted as the the owner advised he would be treating the jacuzzi at 10.30am everyday, this was not the case. The place is kept very clean and decorating up to date. We were supplied with one toilet roll, along with one bin bag and two dishwasher tabs for the week and was advised this was our welcome pack! No recycling or food waste disposal, not good! Did not see the value for the money we paid, just felt very restricted by all the rules in place. Was not the standard of luxury we have come to expect from the Sykes booking website.
