A quaint hotel with a very welcoming atmosphere and lots of artistic touches. Nothing was too much trouble. A wide variety of options for the continental breakfast. Although a listed building it did not seem creepy at night. …

We were recently lucky enough to stay in this gorgeous hotel by accident after a mix up with a booking in our original hotel - and we are so glad that we got to stay here! The host, Maryanne, was extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble in order to make our stay comfortable and stress free. The rooms were gorgeous - from the lounges downstairs to the bedrooms right up on the top floor which were cosy, comfortable and very well equipped. There were really lovely touches such as the coffee machine in the room including fresh and oat milk which could be obtained from the fridge at reception, toiletries and even pillow spray to aid a good night’s sleep. Such amazing attention to detail made for an excellent stay in the most beautiful of surroundings. Next time we will definitely be booking this hotel as our first option. Thank you Maryanne for an amazing weekend stay

Bowlish House should be a 6 Star Hotel it is truly superb. The house is stunning packed full of restored original features giving the place character and life. We were greeted by the owner Maryanne whose care and consideration to our stay was second to none. We couldn’t have felt more welcome and looked after. I can’t recommend Bowlish house more.

The charming property together with host Nicola's ability to make us feel so at ease and comfortable are the main points to mention. The character of the house, even the creaky floorboards, was very appealing. …
