What a truly amazing place. The welcome from Tony was fantastic, as he explains the history of the rooms he describes himself as the Caretaker. …

One of the most stunning and beautiful hotels I have stayed at. It was a real privilege to stay in such a unique hotel. Every room has treasures in it. It was immaculately clean, the freshly cook breakfast was delicious and last but by no means least the staff were first class. I look forward to staying again and catching up with Tony (the owner) and Freya and along with the other wonderful staff I met there. Deborah

This has to be one of the best guest houses I have ever stayed in. It had plenty of different objects to look at and was a real conversation piece. The people were super friendly and the cooked breakfast was super yummy. The room was clean, bed comfy, and we had everything we wanted. Particularity liked the shower. I will be back.

My single favourite accommodation experience I've ever had, worldwide, bar none. The host at the time was Tony, also the owner, what a fabulous man, I left regarding him a mate. So warm, hospitable and so personable. British through and through, but very kind to wandering Aussies, in spite of the cricketing rivalry. Breakfasts were superb, rooms varied, intriguing & fantastic, knowledge of the region exceptional. I look forward to returning the the Covenstead, if only it wasn't a 20+hour flight. Thanks for the good times Tony, I hope you return to Oz one day so I can return the hospitality. If not, I'll have to catch you in Glasto again, I'll try make it around the Ashes 🤣God bless mate, Paul

A friend booked a night at this hotel for us, kind of in the middle of our locations. I really didn’t know what to expect as it’s certainly different.||I loved our stay. The owners couldn’t be more welcoming.  …

We stayed in the Gold room which I booked a year in advance as it’s very popular. We loved the whole experience of staying in a former witches house, filled with rare artefacts. Tony & his team were outstanding. …
