Can't fault it. Used it as a halfway stop on the way to Cornwall with our dog and daughter. Sleeping in a room with a dog and a toddler was a challenge, but we all had plenty of room, and the dog even had his own bed, which was a lovely touch. Breakfast was a bit meh, but nice to have full tummies for the journey.

Room was clean and tidy. Paid for early check in but the cleaning staff were just leaving my room as I approached it.Staff were quite slow and showed no concern about booking me in.When I went for dinner it took me telling the server that I had a meal deal 5 times for them to not try and charge me over and over.Food was excellent and the breakfast was very nice.

We had a clean and comfortable room on the ground floor. That was handy for the dog. We only stopped one night, so we didn't need a lot of storage place. If you stopped longer you have problems storing your stuff. Thankfully the air condition worked, because it was very hot. The quality of the food at breakfast was reasonable. The available seating space was not sufficient to seat everybody, so there were queues. People moved chairs to different tables, so that there were tables available but no seating. It all seemed to be a bit slack set up. Staff was friendly and helpful. There were plenty of free parking spaces available. The pub next door does good evening meals. You only get free WiFi for 30 minutes, 24 hours cost 3 £.

As we checked in, the receptionist was telling me all about how he has the new variant of Covid, and that all the staff here have it at the moment. He told me not to worry though as he never rings in sick & always comes to work even when he had Covid in the past during the pandemic. Not really what you want to be hearing when checking in to a hotel! We had pre booked & paid for dinner in the hotel so went for dinner & then within hours my other half all of a sudden felt really ill and was violently sick all night with all the symptoms of the new variant of Covid. Not happy at all! Wish we just stayed in the room now but as we’d pre paid for dinner we went downstairs to the restaurant. Big mistake!

Given different room to what was booked when asked was told the hotel was full and busy, I booked the room way ahead so this surely shouldn’t have been an issue. …

The whole place is looking worn out. We stayed due to location rather than quality and certainly wouldn't recommend it otherwise. …

Very Disappointing, but it could've been so much better.I spent a week at this hotel with my 93 year old mum. We had an accessible room on the 3rd floor.THE ROOM.The room was ok, but the layout and the two single beds were the biggest problem. There was a TV on the wall and a desk in the corner with tea & coffee making facilities. But there were no small tables next to the beds, only some very small cubby holes in the headboard, I actually bought a small folding table in a local charity shop to use in the room.I also had to keep topping up the tea and coffee making facilities myself, as there was no sign to hang on the door, despite them saying there should be, which no one rectified. The air-conditioning system was not working, which, according to a sign in reception, seemed to be affecting all of the hotel. There was an oscillating fan in the room instead.THE BEDSI was not happy with the beds at all.a standard single bed is 3ft across, The single beds in this Travelodge are only 2ft 6 inches across (see picture) and trust me, you really notice that missed ½ a foot, so much so that I had to push the beds next to the walls, so that we didn't feel like we'd fall out of the beds I also used one of the 2 chairs to give support to my arm when it was outstretched, The reason they're this size, as I found out, is that they zip together to create a Kingsize bed, which is 5 ft across. Also, I didn't find the beds very comfortable. They were too hard and springy for my liking. If you’re going to use this technique, I suggest that you get super kingsize beds, which are 6ft across, which would then split into 2 standard size single beds.THE BATHROOMThe accesible toilet was a good size, but the water pressure from the shower was very low. Also, the liquid soap in the soap dispensers didn't lather up at all. there was only a small glass shelf to hold toiletries, no glasses or other holders. The toilet seat was also a bit loose on one side, I suggest you check the rooms a bit more thoroughly before letting them out and provide a bit more storage for people's toiletries. The breakfast was good. It's an unlimited buffet style setup. With a decent choice of options, unfortunately, the coffee machine stopped working after the 1st day and was only fixed on the 7th day, which was the day we were leaving. We were here over the bank holiday weekend, it was quite busy and there weren't enough seats for the number of people staying there. We had an evening meal here as well. Quite a few of the choices were not available, so we had a pizza and a dessert. The portions are very generous and the food was very nice. So, all in all, it was quite disappointing. ButA few small changes could make this place so much better.
