The hotel is situated on a picturesque street in a fantastic location. Breakfast was excellent and accompanied by friendly service. Unfortunately, the level of cleanliness in the hotel room was very disappointing. …

This guesthouse is a typical Georgian Townhouse. Such a beautiful period property with many original features in keep with Bath's history. It was a delight to stay there. It's also extremely central to the town centre and all the sights, shops, bars and restaurants were within a 10-15 mins walk. The service was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. I raised an issue about a tripped fuse in my room, which was resolved promptly. The breakfast each morning was lovely and freshly cooked to order. My only complaint would be that the mirrors in the bedroom were cheap and didn't match the rest of the decor or the period of the property. It would also have been nice for the room to have a mini fridge to store drinks etc. Most significantly though, was that the floor in my bedroom was on a slope, and so my bed was not level. Perhaps this is a renovation issue. One last thing to mention, there is no lift within the property, so maybe problematic if you have mobility issues. However, apart from this, I had a pleasant stay at the Edgar Town House and would recommend it if you are planning a short break in Bath.

There are things to say that are good. Changed booking easily when I booked wrong date. Breakfast was nice, though would not pay £14 each if not included. Nice bed and room with a fantastic view, and there lies the problem. …

Visited Bath for 3 nights days and stayed at the Edgar Townhouse (early March 2024). We were coming in from the US and arriving to town directly from London. Communication from booking to the arrival date was solid and we were well informed on the check-in times / process. The check-in itself was pleasant and easy and after a long night’s travel well appreciated. We were on the top floor which offers a view but the climb will give you a bit of a work out. It is definitely not for those that may have issues with stairs as there is no lift available. The room itself was clean, well appointed if a bit cozy, and met our needs well. We were in town to see Bath – not spend a lot of time in a hotel – so on those terms it was perfect. We also fell the rate charged was good value considering amenities and location. We opted for the breakfast with our room fee and it did not disappoint. It was great to start each day off with a good, warm breakfast served by attentive and friendly staff. I do not know if we will find ourselves on Bath again but if we do we will certainly consider staying at the Edgar Townhouse again.

Lovely stay for one night. It was 30 degrees but the room had a fan. Really nice breakfast, very accommodating and friendly staff. Great location. Very attractive area right next to town. Genuinely cannot fault it for the reasonable price. Very clean too.
