Had my birthday dinner with family and friends at The Lion last night. Fantastic pub, great food and terrific service. 36 people successfully served and not a single grumble! Super tasty and good portions. Everybody could not speak highly enough of the experience.

Stunning. Loved our stay. Stayed with our two dogs and made most welcome. Had an evening meal which was lovely.Room was very plush, with fresh milk in a little fridge for teas and coffees. The bathroom is huge as is the bed. Lovely big shower area and free standing bath.Staff were super helpful too.We are house hunting in the area and it was a perfect base for our viewings.

We had a really great time in this cosy country pub, just wish we could have stayed longer. We had a warm welcome from Scott and our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. A lot of thought has obviously gone into providing a great experience for their guests. The food in the restaurant was fabulous too. Highly recommended.

Beautifully furnished pub in a lovely location. Staff were very accommodating getting our group a table for lunch even though we hadn't booked in advance. Had a few drinks beforehand in the very scenic front garden area - great selection of beer and cider on tap all at a reasonable price. Food was also great; good value options that were definitely a mark up in quality than a lot of typical pub chains. Will hopefully be back!

The food is always good and plentiful. My only criticism, is that, the prices are bordering on the high side. Especially the the steak at £35 is rather top end locally. I've been before and know doubt will again. David
