I would like to share my one night experience with you.I will first start with te people at the reception and all I have to say is that they showed so much respect and they were very polite. After getting the key to our room we also have been guided to the room by one of the staff. Very nice.5 out of 5 stars 🌟 for the room ✨️It was spotless clean it was warm and very cosy as well.We had a bathroom in our room. With shower and bath tub. After so many hours driving to get here, all I needed was a warm bath and a good sleep.I do recommend this place 100% 👌PS!!! they give you an option of a breakfast if needed, that they will leave it for you in the fridge outside on the corridor. We didn't need it so I won't k ow what exactly they offer. Probably the usual.Anyways ..... YES for this place 🙌

We chose the Rose & Crown mainly based on its location. It’s only about 5 miles from Bath city centre and about a 20 minute drive to Longleat Safari Park (our main reason for the trip). ||First impressions were very good. …

The Rose & Crown is an absolute gem. Our large group of 35 were accommodated on short notice. The lunch we all had here was one we all agreed was fantastic. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. And oh my, the sticky toffee pudding, so heavenly. Owner and staff were very hospitable. Worth a trip on its own!

Sunday lunchI had the 'nut roast'This was a neat mound of tasty, sticky rice with cranberries. It also had around half a thinly sliced mushroom, I think I counted two pumpkin seeds and when I asked about the nuts the waiter said it had chestnuts in it but I didn't taste or feel any.I think this was £17.It wasn't a nut roast as advertised but a really disappointing non meat alternative, suggesting a certain contempt for vegetarians.Overcooked and cold broccoli and cabbage.Other veg and gravy were OK and the saving grace was the cauliflower cheese. My friend had the chicken and he said that was alright.I now need to respond to the reply. The response to my question about the ingredients may have included the pecans and nuts - I missed that he said that and I apologise. What I reiterate is that it was not a nut roast. It was a tasty rice dish with cranberries and a small amount of other ingredients, but really no apparent nuts.I didn't say I disliked the dish but it was not what you would expect from the words nut roast and not really great with roast potatoes and gravy.

We stopped for lunch at the weekend, on our way back from Bath. The food is very good pub food. Service is friendly and welcoming. There was a reduced menu due to staff absence, but this didn't effect the food. I had the pasty and chips, which was good others in our party had the chicken and lasagna. Again both were good, and large portions. There in a welcoming atmosphere, and it's a good place to eat.

We had a long weekend staying here. Happy with the room and service. The breakfast was continental and you have order it the day before. You have to have it in your room or like we did, eat it outside at the outdoor pub seating . But there was loads, so quite happy. We ate at the pub one night and really enjoyed our food.

What a lovely, genuine, warm and hospital guesthouse, the Rose & Crown is. With a regular bus service to Bath stopping just opposite the pub; it is a delight to leave the car parked up.Very clean accommodation, with quality bed & linen. The food at the pub was lovely. The icing on the cake was the friendly and professional service, with attention to detail, that Shaun and his team offer. We loved our 4 x night stayThank you ShaunR & C

We stopped for something to eat when passing today & what a find!Excellent service from extremely helpful staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Went above & beyond to ensure our gluten free requirements (coeliacs) were catered for. So knowledgeable & understanding, I wish more people & places were like this instead of the usual inconvenience we encounter! The food was also delicious, well worth the money (reasonably priced) I highly recommend and will definitely be making a return visit. 4 happy well fed & watered customers 😀

Absolutely excellent stay in charming, quiet village near Bath and loads of historic sites in beautiful countryside. The guesthouse was extremely welcoming, the room was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. …

I stayed with my friend on Monday night in Room 5. We went there quite late at around 9pm. Although there were some difficulties of opening the key lock, we were so delighted to see the IG-able room. I had a shower directly and the drainage was acceptable. The drainage was not seriously clogged but could be improved by regular maintenance. I was impressed by the hair dryer provided since it was a hair styling hair dryer from VS. We tried to ventilate the room by the electic fan provided but the wire was not long enough to reach the socket when it was placed on the window sill. Luckily, I got extension and placed it on the window sill eventually. The TV got Netflix and Youtube options, which was really great! I would be awesome if there was a fridge/freezer beneath the tea point! I will definitely stay in this place if I visit Bath next time!
