It was such a pleasure to stay in a hotel that isn’t one of a chain. Friendly staff with a personal touch, ‘real’ keys, and well refurbished historical buildings all make this a lovely place to stay. …

We were delighted to be shown to our room. It's as in the photos. Clean, well equipped and with a lovely on suite bathroom. I've yet to try the breakfast, but I understand they've plenty of gluten free options.

Called here early October on a business trip, just the two of us. It’s not in the middle of town, so be reminded of this. Otherwise car park behind hotel is easily accessible. Hotel and bedroom was clean, nicely furnished.|My only qualm was that breakfast was pricey at £16 per head, which we did pay as it was convenient.

Very good breakfast at a nicely decorated Victorian-style guest house. The rooms are small and clean. We were a little cramped with two kids in guest beds, but the hosts did a nice job of setting that up to accommodate us well. The room was very clean, except for a decorative cover on the bed. When we alerted the staff, they took care of that problem immediately and kindly. We enjoyed the sitting room downstairs and the location was outstanding!
