The room is very cosy. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Good provisions, but more teabags and milk would have been a bonus. En suite is a good size. A hand towel would have been beneficial, and the shower showed more promise than it delivered. That being said, the room was clean, the welcome was warm, and the price was fantastic. All in all this will be somewhere I'll come back to. Thank you for having me.

We booked 3 rooms for one night as we were attending a 60th birthday party at The Sitwell Arms.|The standard double rooms were just £55 per night. Rooms have been refurbished, especially bathrooms, to a very good standard. …

Check inCheck in was ok. There was no one at the desk but I popped into the adjoining restaurant and they sent someone down within a few minutes.PresentationThe first impression was good. The room and shower were well presented.SoundThe hotel is situated next to a cross roads. Even with the window closed, the sound of motorbikes was loud. Since the cross road requires traffic to stop, I think the sound of motorbikes accelerating was very loud.It was a warm night so we slept with the window open. A large fan was provided, but unfortunately it was broken (one of the fan's blades was damaged). With the window open, traffic was even louder. Our room was a twin. It was on the top floor and the window was one of those velux windows in the roof. But there was no blind or curtain, so there was nothing to stop the light coming in. It was a good thing we had sleeping masks!During the night some other guests came up to our floor to get to their room. They were talking and we found it very loud and disruptive; this woke us up.CleanlinessThe room and the bedding and towels were all clean :)ComfortNote that the are spoiled by the memory foam mattress we have at home. The twin singles in our room were ok. They were the old spring-style bouncy mattresses, could have been worse, could have been better. The biggest problem was the bed frames, which creaked loudly.ValueOur perception of value could be skewed because there was a festival on this weekend and many places were already booked up. From what we could tell, the price we paid was midrange for a "normal" hotel. We were not expecting luxury, nor a hostel..Even though the room was well presented, the sounds from outside the room let it down (road traffic and other guests). Other issues we had are fixable, like adding a blind to the window and replacing the fan.

Stayed for one night for a function being held at the restaurant. Rooms are beautiful, the majority of photos on here are outdated. Bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in at a hotel. …
