Great night's stay with Gill at Rockingham Lodge. Careful of the sat. nav. directions, there are some very small windy lanes around the village. Warm welcome. Great room, No. 2, all you need for a night's stop-over. Lovely cooked breakfast to see us on our way.

We were two friends looking for a place to stay in the Peak District for a long weekend of cycling. After some research at different bnbs and hotels etc, we went with Rockingham Lodge as we wanted to stay in a village close to pubs etc and it looked like the best value for money. It turned out to be great value for money, very comfortable and the host was very hospitable. We had two bikes that we needed to store and the host was happy to accommodate this. Breakfast was also decent, from porridge, pastries and traditional English breakfasts all tried during our stay and great in both quality and quantity.

Jill was very kind and accommodating. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable, was also pleasantly surprised to find the bed had been made up once we returned from our walk. Breakfast was lovely and the local pubs/restaurants have enough dinner options for all budgets.

Tideswell is the perfect base for a visit to the Peaks, and Rockingham Lodge was a great place to stay. All the furnishings in the room were of a very high standard, A comfortable bed with luxurious sheets to relax in after a day walking and a fantastic breakfast to start your day. And reasonably priced too.||Couldn't ask for more.

Went to visit some friends in the area and they were recommended we check into the Rockingham Lodge. Gill was very easy to communicate with ahead of our check-in (our train was coming in later than check-in time!) …
