Just went the bar for their famous two beer deal, great girls and atmosphere great view of the Soi and the general debauchery that is LK Metro and a reminder to not take life, or yourself, too seriously, it's always later than you think

Unfortunately, music has decreased significantly after Corona, but there are always cold and inexpensive drinks there. The location means you can see a lot of what's going on in the Lk Metro

Only scammers and beggars work at this place. Terrible live "music". Hold on to your bin, they don't seem to care who is paying for their drinks. Mostly old freelancers with bad dental hygiene begging for drinks and barfine. Do yourself a favor and go to another bar!

After Corona, the Billabong bar is unrecognizable from the "before Corona time"...We were 4 people (2 Germans + 2 Swiss) and came from Jomtien over to Pattaya to have a nice evening. I've known the Billabong Bar for a long time, but this time I'm very disappointed. The bar is now in a bad condition - the old inventory is still in use, there are cardboard boxes with beer all over the bar, garbage bags are lying next to the bar... just terrible!!! All 4 of us then ordered beer - 2 bottles for 140 B - we found it to be very good and inexpensive. Our waitress was also very nice... but what followed was absolute disgrace. We hadn't gotten the beer yet, we had only been sitting in the bar for a few minutes when the fat singer and the HORN singer walked through the seats with a plastic bucket to beg for money. HORN in particular appeared extremely aggressive and demanding. When we refused to pay a tip after just 5 minutes, she also insulted us by disrespecting us with a typical Thai hand gesture. At the next table an older gentleman put 100 B Tip into the box.... Horn shouted at him laughing and demanded "More - More - More". I think this is outrageous on the part of the singer HORN. Like before, the bar lacks a manager and/or a Mama-Sang who takes care of the bar and the employees and prevents and punishes such behavior on the part of the employees.There are many bars around Soi Metro, but the Billabong Bar is definitely one of the worst. This used to be different...with manager and mom-sang supervision. We then drank our two beers each and moved on to Soi Buakhao where the bands don't beg so aggressively, because I'm always happy to give a tip for good bands... absolutely clear. Hopefully the situation in the Billabong Bar will improve soon. We won't be paying another visit in the near future... perhaps again after the hoped-for improvements, including in the behavior of individual people in the bar. I would very much welcome and wish for this.......Peter

On Saturday 8thOct2022 , Billabong bar in Soi LK Metro has a scam practice in place , when ordering drinks thru barmaids. It's called a 2 for 1. You pay for 2 drinks and only receive 1.Ordered 1st round. Bill 130baht. Upon ordering 2nd drink ,still being charged another 130 baht. Ordered 3rd drink ,bill was 390 baht.Bit expensive. Enquired about bar tab.We have special,where you order 2 drinks for 130 baht. So where is my second drink of the 1st purchase. Her response was that I already had 4 drinks, meaning they deliberately overcharged me 130 baht overall and tried to stiff me on another drink (San Miguel light). You have been warned ,to keep an eye on your beer tab . In house band , playing music sounded like screeching 🐱🐈 ! Post menopausal freelancers to avoid as well !

My review only concerns the bar, as I have not been to the hotel so I cannot give an opinion,For the bar it is quite quiet and calm during the day and in the evening with the live music it is another place there are a lot more people, the atmosphere is great, a lot of people are dancing, the location is also great, very lively and festive street and neighborhood at night.
