The owner was a very kind woman.They carefully taught us how to use the lock at night and how to use the safe.Although it is close to the beach, it is a little far from the lively Bangla Road (about 6 minutes walk), so you can relax at night.It was also convenient to be able to tell tuk-tuks and taxis "soi wattana" and they would definitely understand.

Exactly on patong beach. Bangla road walking distance. Owner and staff are too good. They keep room clean always. We did check in 4hrs prior without paying any extra charges. Wifi.A/C. Toiletries. Cupboard. Fridge. Very Good Service.

Sonya Residence is the cheapest option in Soi Doctor Watthana Clinic. The room is small and a bit cramped. The room has a refrigerator & cable TV that works well. water heater Very close to Patong Beach, in the heart of the city. Recommended.

A wonderful little hotel right in the heart of Patong, run by the nicest Thai lady you will ever meet. Cheap and cheerful, it's excellent facilities are all you will ever want. Just brilliant. Give it a go.

Had an awful experience and the owner cum receptionist is so rude. They charged us extra 500 baht for room. Accommodation was not good. Bathroom got no ceiling almost open and it was disturbing to fresh up..totally disgusting.

Mog (the owner) is amazing and so friendly!! The room was amazing and so worth the price. Rooms were cleaned every day and hospitality was prioritized. I really felt like a guest in her home. It was awesome. |I would highly recommend anyone looking for a place to stay in Patong to stay at Sonya, its a little safe space in a chaotic city…

While not a 5 star hotel. I will give it 5 stars all the way.I had a huge room with a balcony, which was cleaned perfectly every day, and is great value for money.They organise a laundry service to collect and return the next day. Everything was perfectly washed and ironed.On the soi/street there are restaurants, atm, barber, tailor and also a mini-mart close by.Less than 1 minute walk to the beach and less than 10 to Bangla road.The best thing about Sonya Residence is the staff. They are so friendly and helpful.It's Thailand's people, which makes this one of the many reasons that you should come visit.

“Great location for reasonable prices”The hotel is nice walkable distance to the beach. The staff was nice and easy to communicate when you have special request or want to extend your stay. The room itself is simple and bathroom is small but alright for 2 people. I recommend for week stay, not longer as there is not much space to move around when 2 persons are in the room.

Clean and quiet accommodation. Sonia, the owner of the place, is a kind, respectful and helpful person. However, the table is round and the smell of food enters if you open the bathroom. There is no elevator. Cleanliness. I will come again every day because it is not a noisy and quiet place from the outside. It looks like nothing. However, it has a tidy interior and very spacious rooms.
