¼ cup chopped green bell pepper

2 cloves garlic, minced

¾ cup ketchup

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard

salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions

Warm a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, carrots, onions, bell peppers, and garlic. Cook and stir until the beef is browned and crumbled, about 10 minutes. Drain excess liquid.

Stir in ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard until well combined. Lower the heat and simmer until the sauce thickens, about 30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
