Baked Wisconsin Five-Cheese Pasta

Ingredients List
-
1 (16 ounce) package elbow macaroni
-
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
-
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
-
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
1 cup shredded provolone cheese
-
½ cup ricotta cheese
-
½ cup sour cream
-
½ cup heavy cream
-
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
-
½ teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
-
½ teaspoon garlic salt
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the macaroni and cook for 6-8 minutes, until tender. Drain the pasta.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the mozzarella, Swiss, Parmesan, and Provolone cheeses. Set aside approximately 1/2 cup for topping. In a separate bowl, mix together the ricotta, sour cream, and heavy cream. Season with parsley, Italian herbs, and garlic salt.
Add the ricotta mixture and drained macaroni to the bowl with the cheeses and toss gently. Avoid over-mixing; a little messiness is preferred. Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle the reserved cheese over the top.
Bake in the preheated oven until the cheese is melted, about 10 minutes, then switch the oven to broil. Broil for about 5 minutes to achieve a golden-brown top.
