Bone Broth

Ingredients

1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste

2 pounds beef bones

6 cups cool water, or as needed

2 onions, thickly sliced

2 carrots
-
3 cloves garlic, crushed

2 bay leaves
Directions

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a roasting pan with cooking spray.

Coat the beef bones with tomato paste and arrange them in the prepared roasting pan.

Roast the bones in the preheated oven until they begin to brown, about 30 minutes.

Transfer the bones to a slow cooker and add enough water to cover them. Include onions, carrots, garlic, and bay leaves in the broth mixture.

Cook on Low for at least 24 hours to extract the flavors.

Strain the broth through a fine-mesh strainer into a container, then refrigerate.
