Ingredients List

3 heads fresh broccoli, cut into florets

1 ½ pounds cavatelli pasta

½ cup olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon salt, or more to taste

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the broccoli and cook for about 5 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the broccoli to a large bowl and set aside.
Season the boiling water with salt. Add the cavatelli and cook until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain the pasta and set aside.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté garlic until lightly golden, being careful not to burn it. Add the broccoli and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes until the broccoli is tender yet crisp.
Add the cooked cavatelli to the skillet and toss it with the broccoli mixture until well combined and heated through. Season with salt and red pepper flakes. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese.
