Cooking Instructions

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Add the cauliflower and broccoli to a medium-sized pot, covering them with water. Bring the water to a boil and cook until tender, about 10 minutes. Drain and transfer the veggies to a medium baking dish.

In another medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in the flour to form a paste. Slowly whisk in the milk, cooking for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens. Add in the mustard, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Stir in 2/3 of the cheese until it melts into a smooth sauce.

Pour the cheese sauce over the broccoli and cauliflower. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake until bubbling and lightly browned, about 30 minutes. In the final 10 minutes of baking, sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
