In a large skillet, heat over medium-high heat. Cook the ground beef with onion, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, stirring frequently, until the beef is browned and crumbled, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain any excess grease and discard.

Increase the heat to high. Pour water into the skillet with the ground beef mixture. Cover and bring to a boil. Add the macaroni to the boiling mixture, cover, reduce heat to medium, and cook for 5 minutes. Stir, re-cover, and cook for an additional 5 minutes until the macaroni is tender.

Stir processed cheese into the beef-macaroni mixture until fully melted. Remove from heat and mix in the sour cream.

Cooking Tips
For a twist, add 1 tablespoon of cumin and 2 teaspoons of chili powder to the ground beef as it cooks for a Mexican-inspired flavor. Serve with fresh chopped lettuce, tomatoes, and salsa.
If you're short on time, substitute dehydrated onion for fresh and increase the amount of onion powder.
