Cheesy Stuffed Meatloaf

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 pound ground pork

1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix

2 eggs, beaten

1 ½ cups dry bread crumbs

ground black pepper to taste

¾ cup water

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
Directions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine beef, pork, soup mix, eggs, breadcrumbs, pepper, and water. Stir in 1/2 cup of cheese. Mix thoroughly and spread half of the mixture into a 9x5-inch loaf pan. Layer the remaining 1 1/2 cups of cheese on top of the meat mixture, then cover with the rest of the meat mixture.

Bake for 60 minutes in the preheated oven. Let the meatloaf cool for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
