Chinese-Style Baked Chicken Wings
Ingredients
-
2 cups soy sauce
-
2 cups brown sugar
-
2 tablespoons garlic powder
-
5 pounds chicken wings, split and tips discarded
Instructions
-
In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, and garlic powder. Cook over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool.
-
Place the chicken wings in a large bowl, then pour the cooled marinade over them. Toss to coat the wings evenly. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.
-
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
-
Transfer the marinated chicken wings into a 9x13-inch baking dish. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until the wings are heated through. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes to crisp the wings. Serve hot.
