3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 tablespoon meat tenderizer

2 cups plain yogurt, divided

2 tablespoons ground coriander

⅓ cup chopped fresh cilantro

2 teaspoons paprika

½ teaspoon ground turmeric

2 teaspoons salt

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

6 cloves garlic, minced
Cooking Instructions

Make shallow cuts in the chicken pieces to help the flavors penetrate. Combine lemon juice and meat tenderizer, then rub the mixture into the chicken. Arrange the chicken in a shallow dish.

In a blender or food processor, blend 1/2 cup yogurt, cumin, coriander, cilantro, paprika, turmeric, salt, pepper, and garlic until smooth. Transfer to a bowl and mix in the remaining 1 1/2 cups yogurt. Pour the marinade over the chicken, cover, and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.

Preheat the grill to medium heat.

Lightly oil the grill grates. Remove the chicken from the marinade, discarding any leftover marinade. Grill the chicken for 30 to 45 minutes, turning occasionally to prevent burning, until the juices run clear. Smaller pieces will cook faster.
