Breeze introduces three new routes from the Northeast to Florida, including a new nonstop flight from Long Island

Breeze Airways is broadening its presence in Florida.
The low-cost airline based in Provo, Utah, unveiled three new nonstop routes on Tuesday, each connecting to one of its bases in the Sunshine State.
Two of the newly launched routes will serve Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) near Fort Myers, where Breeze plans to establish its latest base later this year.
Details of the routes
All new routes are set to launch this fall. Here’s the complete list:
- Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport (BTV) to Fort Myers — starts on Oct. 4, operating twice a week on Mondays and Fridays
- Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) to Fort Myers — starts on Oct. 2, operating twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays
- Wilkes-Barre Scranton International Airport (AVP) to Tampa International Airport (TPA) — starts on Oct. 18, operating twice a week on Mondays and Fridays
Expansion at Islip
Breeze’s new route from Islip to Fort Myers will add a sixth nonstop destination from New York's Long Island by October. The airline already provides nonstop service to Charleston International Airport (CHS) in South Carolina, Portland International Jetport (PWM) in Maine, Norfolk International Airport (ORF), and Richmond International Airport (RIC) in Virginia, as well as Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) in North Carolina.
It will also resume nonstop flights to Vero Beach, Florida, starting Nov. 4.
This route is just the latest development for Islip, which recently welcomed a new airline in JetBlue.
Fort Myers will become a new destination for travelers from Islip.
More flights to Orlando
In addition to the three new routes, Breeze is also increasing its service from northeast Pennsylvania to Central Florida.
Beginning Oct. 8, the airline will introduce a fifth weekly round trip between Wilkes-Barre Scranton and Orlando.
Flights will be scheduled on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
