Grilled Pork Chops for Summer

Ingredients
-
1 ½ cups lemon juice
-
1 ½ cups honey
-
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
-
1 clove garlic, minced
-
¼ teaspoon dried basil
-
4 center-cut pork chops, 1/2-inch thick
-
salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
-
In a bowl, mix together lemon juice, honey, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and basil. Pour half of the marinade into a resealable plastic bag, then add the pork chops, squeeze out the excess air, and seal the bag. Let the chops marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight. Keep the remaining marinade in the fridge for basting later.
-
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
-
Take the chops out of the bag, discard the marinade, and season the chops with salt and black pepper.
-
Grill the chops on the preheated grill until they are browned on the outside and no longer pink inside, about 20 to 25 minutes. Baste frequently with the reserved marinade, allowing it to cook into the meat. The internal temperature should reach at least 145°F (63°C) when checked with an instant-read thermometer.
