Juicy Baby Back Ribs

3 pounds pork back ribs, cut into serving size pieces

1 cup ketchup

¼ cup apple cider vinegar

3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

3 tablespoons brown sugar

½ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
Cooking Instructions

Place the ribs in a large pot and cover them with water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then lower to medium heat and let simmer until the ribs are tender, around 1 hour. In the meantime, combine ketchup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, salt, and liquid smoke in a saucepan. Heat over medium-high until it starts to simmer, then reduce to medium-low and cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens, about 30 minutes.

Preheat the broiler and adjust the oven rack to be 6 inches from the heat. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.

Once the ribs are tender, drain them and arrange them on the baking sheet with the meaty side up. Brush half of the barbecue sauce onto the ribs. Broil for about 7 minutes, or until the sauce becomes sticky and slightly caramelized. Flip the ribs, apply the remaining sauce, and broil for another 7 minutes until the sauce thickens and turns golden brown.
